Vaden was born in the hills of North Louisiana, near the Ouachita River. His family was poor in wealth, but rich in love, and had a special bond with country music, that always had a special place in home lives as well as social gathering. Vaden's Dad, along with three brothers and one sister, played and sang the songs that touched their hearts, and could relate to in their lives. Country music seemed to always be a cure for the blues and help make the hardships of life be a little more tolerable. At an early age, Vaden became insured in writing songs. Though he didn't have much to write about, he spent hours writing poems, then trying to find a tune that would fit. It was a long ways from being professional, but to Vaden at the time was music to his ears. Soon, Vaden's life would make a sharp turn, he stepped into the real world, to make it on his own. Being of a restless nature and not much education, he took jobs on cross country pipelines, and later cross country trucking that would take him all over the United States and to Canada. On rainy days on the pipeline and layovers in trucking, you could find him at the nearest place where their country music would make you feel the songs were wrote about you.Vaden fell in love and married a farmer's daughter, one of ten children. She had three boys and one girl by a previous marriage. Then gave birth to a set of twins, a boy and a girl. Six children, that was enough. Then Vaden had two loves; his family and his music. He admits to having ups and downs in his marriage for a while. She thought he loved his music more than her. But after living with Vaden, she learned him from the inside and began to understand after listening to the lyrics of his songs. She knew they were not just songs but an outpouring from the heart: about his life, the lives of others he has met, and using the imagination of human nature. That only comes with time and experience in life. Vaden has a life long devotion to song writing and lives to write the lyrics you can relate to. And maybe sometimes you will say that song was for me.Ask yourself . . . What would this world be like if there were no country music? World's Most Broker Home Music Vaden Carr World's Most Broker Home Songs | 1. | World's Most Broken Home B.M.I, The |

$9.49 Compilation cd! Five Texas artist's perform the music of Will Dunlap---Blues,Jazz,Rock,Latin and Country influences!--REVIEWED BY MARIA MESA IN AUSTIN DAZE!DEC.2004--Will Dunlap “Texarado Dream” Independently produced, 2004 Score = 7 Will Dunlap is a local songwriter, guitarist, singer, drummer, keyboardist and producer- (whew…) who has assembled some of Atown’s lesser-known pearls to create a CD that will take you on a journey through several musical styles. R&B, Country, Blues, Gospel, Tejano, and plain old rock & roll are all represented here. This project reminds me a lot of the Pat Boyack CD that I reviewed earlier- not quite as star studded perhaps, but not short on talent and longer on diversity of sound. Like Pat’s CD, this one is filled with knockout vocal performances by a handful of guest singers, with the ringleader guitarist respectfully staying in the background. The opening track showcases the powerful vocals of local gospel singer Tim Curry (no, not THAT Tim Curry) in a song called "Keep Your Dreams." If Tim’s voice won’t get you in church on Sunday morning- there’s just no savin’ you is there? Tim is backed up by the sweet voice of Shannon Scully sounding like a full ensemble herself. The songwriting is there, the musicianship is there too. Will takes the mike on the second track entitled "Colorado Eyes." Now I know this is a town full of guitarist songwriters who also think they can sing- but you’ll be refreshed to find that Will does have a pretty good voice. (Just because he’s invited a bunch of singers along doesn’t mean the dude can’t sing.) Then we go south of the border. Being a Tejana myself- I’m always pleased to hear the dulcet tones created when Espanol is combined with accordions. Scarlett Olson takes us there with the beautiful "Noche De Lluvia." Scarlett handles this song as if she wrote the lyrics herself. Oh wait- she did. Growing up in San Antonio with a Mexican mom pays off, don’t it girl? I don’t have room to take you through every song, but trust me there aren’t many slouches. Haydn Vitera takes us back to Tejano with "Otra Vez," a well done Spanglish number that lets you know why he’s toured with Asleep at the Wheel, Ricky Travino, Vince Gill and Dolly Parton. Alright- there’s a few moments when I could tell that this CD was recorded ...
