Welcome to the world of 1984, where Rock & Roll still lives! Many groups are classified into so many different categories that is boggles the mind. 1984 refuses to fall into the cracks of Rock, Pop, Metal, Retro, or whatever the flavor of the month is. That is why they simply choose to call themselves "America's Last Rock & Roll Band". In 1999, the band was formed as an 80's cover band, and proceeded on an exuasting summer schedule including clubs, private events, fundraisers, and even opening for 70's and 80's superstar Eddie Money. Seeing the immense response to thier show, 1984 decided to start writing. After playing the new songs for a few months in the clubs they soon became the most requested part of the show, prompting the recording of "Casual Hello". Casual Hello combines a unique blend of rock styles. It's almost a "smorgasboard" of rock & roll. Guitar styes ranging from guitar rock & blues, vocal styes of metal, blues, and soul, and intricate double bass beats give "Casual Hello" a unique feel. Inrospective and meaningfull lyrics give the album a social conscience, and tackle some difficult subjects as well as some fun ones. All in all, 1984's release "Casual Hello" provides you the listener with music that you can enjoy on many levels, and still have some good old fashioned Rock & Roll fun. | | Elvis Presley ELV1S: 30 # 1 Hits CD (2002) Remastered
Casual Hello songs
$10.39 Includes liner notes Peter Guralnick and Ernst Mikael Jorgensen.
Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death, 30 #1 HITS presents a career-spanning serving of the King's chart-toppers.
Dating back to "Heartbreak Hotel" (which was inspired by a suicide note printed in the Miami Herald), most of these cuts have become indelibly etched into the fabric of pop culture and each has a unique story behind it. "Love Me Tender" has its origins in the Civil War ballad "Aura Lee," "It's Now Or Never" found Elvis Americanizing the Neapolitan ballad "O Sole Mio," and "Wooden Heart" likewise was converted from a German children's song.
This Memphis native's choice of artists to cover was equally intriguing and includes Hollywood legend Al Jolson ("Are You Lonesome Tonight?"), New Orleans soul shouter Smiley Lewis ("One Night"), blues great Big Mama Thornton ("Hound Dog"), and country titan Hank Snow ("[Now And Then ...

| | Peter Breinholt Live September CD (2001)
Casual Hello songs
$14.79 In Peter Breinholt's career, the only real milestone left was to put out a landmark live album. Well, consider it done, and with style. Live September does what live recordings should do; it puts you in the front row and fills you with the magic of the performer's stage presence. All tracks were recorded among the turning leaves of Provo Canyon, UT, in September 2001. For three sold-out nights at the intimate Sundance Amphitheatre, Breinholt and Big Parade gave upstart performances. If the guitarist/singer is intimidated in front of a crowd, you'll never know it. He banters with the audience as if they were a group of his closest friends, and the crowd obviously favors is kickback style. The sound mix, which usually weakens live recordings, is phenomenal. For those familiar with Breinholt's previous albums, Live September offers a formidable collection of favorites. Fans will find new versions of 'Poor Boys,' 'And She's True,''You Wear Flowers,' and others. For newcomers, the album pianist a fitting picture of Breinholt's catchy guitar leads and all-star rhythm section. Plenty of special guests help out along the way: Breinholt's two-year-old song goes to town on a mini-drum kit during 'Sweetly Sleeps'; Jon Schmidt commands the ivories on 'What About'; and Nancy Hanson harmonizes during a cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Landslide.' Whatever Breinholt has left to do after such an inventive album, he is bound to keep smiles on thousands of faces. Album Review provided by All Music Guide © 2006 All Media Guide, LLC

| | Burning Sensations Life's Little Surprises CD (2004)
Casual Hello album
$7.19 The Burning Sensations are a tongue-in-cheek college band from Ithaca, NY. The original group formed in 2002 and consisted of Joel Baines (from Austin, Texas) on drums, Dexter Kozen (from Northern Maine) on Guitar, Evan Variano (Ithaca, NY) on guitar, Pip Beard (Sydney, Australia) on Bass, and Roisin Owens (Dublin, Ireland) on keyboards and vocals. They played a wide variety of covers (with a repertoire of over 70 songs!) in numerous venues for a year or so. Evan had to leave because of other commitments and Joel then took over on rhythm guitar as Ricardo Irizarry (San Juan, Puerto Rico) took the drummer's throne. The new members then began writing songs and performing the original material in bars in the Ithaca area. The positive responses to the new songs inspired the band to make this EP of 5 original ...
