Rebuild The Afterworld music CDs
$18.99 Blueprint Live (1998) is an upbeat and fast-paced live album with lots of audience interaction, laughter, and light-heartedness. This solo acoustic album was recorded live at two different concerts in Northfield and Minneapolis, MN. It gives listeners a chance to hear a more raw and intimate look at Ellis' early musical years and includes some songs that continue to be fan-favorites, including "I don't know", "Princes and Princesses", and "Twisted Roads". *It was also her senior project in college at St Olaf (she got an 'A'). ...

Rebuild The Afterworld songs
$18.99 BLUES LEGEND MR. LONG JOHN BALDRY SAYS...."Bobby is one of Canada's great young guitarists and his talent is equal to many of the world's great guitarists" WELCOME MY FRIENDS:Thanks for dropping in and taking a look. Thought I would give you an idea of what reels me in as an artist and what moves me as a human being. The message of the music and they way it hopefully touches someone out there is the most important part to me. It has got to speak and force me to think about things. All my songs come from real life experiences and everyday situations. The way I live and the way I write are connected. Hopefully, I will connect with you! This was my Debut CD. I was blending roots-rock with the blues. I was still very electric while introducing myself as a singer songwriter. The CD was basically built around two tracks in the beginning mixed with a lot of good times and laughter with friends in the studio."Human Fortress".... describes the emotional walls we can build in any relationship. How we try to protect ourselves from any type of pain. Resisting the unveiling of the parts we desperately want to hide. I wrote this out of personal experience with the struggles I went through as a human being to find out what I honestly stood for.The beginning guitar riff in Human Fortress came to me during along drive. Driving is usually where a lot of my song ideas come from. However, people who pass me on the highway probably think I blew a mental fuse! "The Other Side".... I wrote about my two high school buddies Jimmie and Ian after their passing. We used to spend our weekends drinking and dreaming. They would sit in the corner of my garage while I played along to all our favorite records at volume 1000 plus! This is my dedication to them and their families. The funniest moments during the course of this CD were working with producer Randy Staub and driving him into uncontrollable laughter with my impression of John Wayne. Getting a phone call from SOCAN to register "Human Resources" in stead of "Human Fortress". I am still laughing over that one!I remember being in Los Angeles, mastering this CD with the legendary Bernie Grundman. I was sitting beside Bernie when I noticed some master reels lying on the floor with the name Michael Jackson written on them. Trying not to look excited, I realized this was Jackson's new master of his single "Scream". That was a big thrill for me, never to be forgotten. Thanks again for taking the time..... BobbyFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEThis was Bobby's debut CD. It passed through many hands before its completion. In its early stages, Bobby was working with a young Producer / Engineer named Marek Forysinski, who was living in Edmonton, AB, Canada, at the time, and has since relocated to Los Angeles. Marek is truly a great talent with an amazing ear for ...
| | Things That Go Pop Pop Yourself CD (2004)
Rebuild The Afterworld album
$7.99 The Manifesto:"Pop" is the dirtiest word in the English language. It is a cheap, tawdry word--a monosyllabic catchall for the cultural gruel that is fed daily to the oblivious, seething masses. To some it is quite literally a curse word that, once uttered, ruins credibility and creates a label that cannot be washed away. It is an obscene representation of rampant commercialism and the epitome of worthless, disposable art. That said, "pop" is beautiful. For years there has been an anti-establishment musical movement that we have all rallied behind. It was a revolt against a popular ideal, a rebellion that sought to create an artistically sound alternative to the commercialized music that ruled the airwaves. Call it punk; call it alternative; call it what you will. The idea was a novel one: declare oneself anti-pop and therefore become popular. But the initiated among us know that this was all a cop-out. Like faux-faded Gap jeans, the hypocrisy seeped silently into our consciousnesses and no amount of tattoos and piercings could rid us of it. We must now accept the fact that all music is pop music. The rebellion has come full circle. By taking itself too seriously, the "alternative nation" has become a clichéd parody of itself. It has run its course. It has been de-clawed. So to put a spin on the old Dadaist maxim: in order for the old to die, the new must be born. We must kill our idols. Pop is the new revolt. We are groping madly for a new language--a language for the movement, a language for the population. We must free ourselves of our flawed logic and revel in our inconsistencies. We must crawl ...

Rebuild The Afterworld songs
$18.95 Anna Wolfeâs fifth album, My Treasure (Soulful Songstress Records 7238) (3 stars out of 4) is a gorgeous singer-songwriter album, very much in the Beth Nielsen Chapman style. In fact, Beth adds backing vocals to I Take Notice of Kindness, an acoustic masterpiece about the importance of every day actions we tend to take for granted: âLittle things that arenât little at all / like horses covered in warm blankets / instead of left to themselves in the cold.â This song has incredible harmonies and is a hit waiting to happen. Other gems on this thoughtful record include Close Call, a song about how close we all are to death, but not as morbid as it sounds, and the captivating My Star. Lush is how I would describe the recording, not a tince of clipping. And thatâs down to veteran producer Wendy Waldman who has done a great job in treating each and every song with the sensitivity they require.Maverick MagazineSeptember 2006www.maverick-country.comAnna WolfeMy TreasureSoulful Songstress Records 7238"My Treasure," Anna Wolfe's fifth album, is a finely honed, elegantly stated, and defining collection of material. Produced by Wendy Waldman, each of Anna's songs is set to the appropriate musical backdrop, allowing the story and her vocals to take center stage. Recently recorded in Waldman's own California studio, "My Treasure" ...
