The Sunday Times"..A rare gem......her excellent debut album..." Irish Independent"..surely one of the greatest debut records ever made in this country..." RTE Guide"....this album is startling......a fascinating record!" Dubliner"...one of the most individual Irish debuts of recent years..." Evening HeraldFrom Galway in Ireland, Julie Feeney is a young composer, singer, producer, musician, songwriter, theatre artist and educator. She composes instrumental music and also songs with full orchestrations. '13 songs' is an album of her own songs about love, life and friendship, serious and humourous, from the twenty-something perspective. The inspiring debut arouses a myriad of sensations and heralds the arrival of a powerful and nuanced musical talent. It was composed, produced and financed by Julie. She plays eleven different instruments and sings all of the vocals. Before '13 songs' she worked mostly with composition of electronic music, and since '13 songs' she has been exploring the orchestral sound-world. Graduating from Trinity College, Dublin in 2002 with a Masters in Music and Media Technologies, she worked as a professional choral singer and composer, performing and recording all over the world with various ensembles on numerous cds, dvds and broadcasts. Her instrumental compositions have been for the Crash Ensemble and Icebreaker, and the electronic scores for Corp Feasa contemporary dance company, Loose Canon Theatre Company and for her own one woman shows where she incorporated live singing. She has orchestrated for and conducted the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra string section and she orchestrated '13 songs' for the 65 piece Ulster Orchestra at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast in 2007 when she sang solo with them. She and her compositions have taken her from Carnegie Hall to Queen Elizabeth Hall in London and from Brazil to China. She has worked as a theatre artist with Loose Canon Theatre Company; in a one-woman show to her own electronic score; and in 'Slat' at Galway Arts Festival and in Paris in 2008 at the Centre Culturel Irlandais. Her first video she produced herself, and it features the Beetle car, her favourite vehicle of all time. Her second album, 'pages' is out in May 2009! Julie has finished producing her second album which she scored this time for voice and orchestra with no midi. She conducted the orchestra and later recorded the singing over the orchestral music. All of the singing and mixing was done athome. Instead of playing lots of instruments like she did on the first album, all of the music was this time played by the orchestra while she did again of the singing, conducting, composing and producing. She spent a considerable amount of time working at the Artists' Retreat in Annaghmakerrig in County Monaghan working on the words for the work. Julie Feeney 13 Songs Songs | 1. | Aching |

| | Andy Williams Christmas Album CD (1963) Remastered
13 Songs music CDs
$6.09 Popular songs are often associated with the vocalists that made them famous but few artists actually have the distinction of having a "theme" song along the lines of Bob Hope with "Thanks for the Memories." Even fewer can claim to have two theme songs attached to them and Andy Williams is one of those fortunate stars. After "Moon River" became forever linked to Williams, he recorded a holiday song for his first Christmas album that gave him a yuletide hit and theme song. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" was the right song at the right time for Williams when he began to perform it on his highly successful NBC Christmas specials that featured the whole Williams clan. Both the song and the television specials were so memorable, it wasn't long before Williams was crowned "Mr. Christmas." Of course having a full album of wonderful holiday songs perfectly performed doesn't hurt either and the Andy Williams Christmas Album was an instant hit when released in 1963 and has since become a traditional classic. Along with "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," Williams cheerfully celebrates with the spirited medley "Happy Holidays/The Holiday Season" and is at his playful best on the irresistibly raucous "Kay Thompson's Jingle Bells." He also wraps his voice around chestnuts like ...

| | Megadeth Endgame CD (2009)
13 Songs CD music
$15.65 The release of 2009's ENDGAME brings with it a startling realization: if first-generation thrash metal fans had been polled about which of the genre's "Big Four" -- Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth -- would prove to be the most resilient and consistently prolific over the next quarter century, the only sure-fire consensus would probably have been "well, anyone but Megadeth!" And yet, 12 studio albums and 150-plus songs later -- more than any of the other three have managed -- that's exactly what's come to pass. The group's second release for Roadrunner, whose title apparently ...

| | Hiram Bullock Give It What U Got CD (1987)
13 Songs songs
$10.65 On his Atlantic Records debut, producer, bandleader, and guitarist Hiram Bullock comes ripping out of the gate with a prime bit of '80s jazz-rock, "Down the Pipe" with Ricky Peterson on synthesizers, drummer Charlie Drayton, and the Brecker brothers in the horn section; this tune is a screamer. Bullock just tears open the sonic side with his guitar, allowing Randy Brecker to ground the thing with a funky, funky, funky horn chart. The crazy contrast is the big, fat R&B tone of the track that proceeds from it: "Too Hip 2 B Needy." Bullock fancies himself a singer, but like most of these heavy studio cats, his voice isn't all that great but it will suffice. With Will Lee's bassline fronting the entire tune, and a three-piece horn section (with Lew Soloff on trumpet), it's big, celebratory funk that throws off the fusion sensibility of the opener. Al Jarreau guests on an ultra-smooth jazz reading of Sam Cooke's "You Send Me." Jarreau may be a fine vocalist, but he obviously doesn't get what at what is so amazing about that song, allowing his sense of jazz phrasing to completely cover over the motion in the tune. It's ...

$13.89 A Generalization of b-2dep't released from their own label. This seems to make one expect the music would be extremely cute and perhaps game-like. It actually only sounds a touch like that description. It is full length with a variety of styles ranging from old style technopop-ish works to current electronica. A few tracks are a little minimal but then ...
