A singer, a dancer, a writer, a performer...Ever since the tender age of three, Natalie Oei (pronounced "wee"), has dreamt of becoming a singer, dancer, writer, and artist. Now, with the help of Certified Music, an independent record label in the Bay Area since 1995, this dream is finally becoming a reality. "I always knew I wanted to sing. It's a passion I have never lost sight of. Even when I was discouraged, singing was always there for me." This passionate artist has lifted the spirits of many with her bolt of energy and magnetic stage presence wherever she has performed. During the past few years, Natalie has worked hard, juggling college in Los Angeles, performing at various charity events, and recording her first hit single in San Francisco. Besides having that sweet angelic voice that melts hearts, Natalie has an arsenal of dance styles which include Jazz, Modern, Balinese, and Persian. In 2000 she won Nationals with her Dance Attack Hip Hop group through the guidance of Mindtrix. Throw in some professional acting training from the American Conservatory Theatre, the Nancy Hayes Acting Workshop, the Strasberg Institute in Hollywood and appearances in several small films and commercials, and you have a bona fide "triple-threat"! Natalie takes pride in her Chinese/Indonesian/Dutch heritage and plans record releases not only in Europe and the United States but in Asia as well. "My mom always told me, 'If you're going to do something, do it well' and I believe that. I know there are a lot of things I still need to learn and I'm excited to see what my future has in store for me. I'm just beginning." CLONAKITTY COBOY/BLOWIN' are albums originally released in 1975 and '76, respectively, by the Noel Redding Band, bassist Noel Redding's second band (after Fat Mattress) in his post-Jimi Hendrix Experience career. Both albums feature lead vocals by David Clarke.
Noel Redding's claim to fame, of course, was that he was the bass player in the Jimi Hendrix Experience during the 1960s. After that, he was able to leverage his notoriety into major-label record contracts for two bands, Fat Mattress and the Noel Redding Band, each of which managed to release two albums, though the results were commercially negligible. A quarter-century later, One Way Records licensed the two Noel Redding Band albums, 1975's Clonakilty Cowboys and 1976's Blowin', for this two-fer CD. Redding, who considered himself a guitarist before agreeing to play bass behind Hendrix, took the guitarist's chair back in Fat Mattress, but with the Noel Redding Band he returned to bass, giving lead guitar chores to Eric Bell. In both bands, he hired lead singers to front the group. In the case of his self-named ensemble, that was ...

$16.45 DELILAH HARRIS BIOGRAPHYIn the world of contemporary pop music, it's too often a case of too many singers, so little time. That said, there's always room for a new voice that's got all the magic. Make way then for the beguiling bayou dreamweavings of Delilah.Growing up in the sleepy Louisiana town of Leesville, Delilah knew she was special -- she could sing. "I realized I had this voice, this thing when I was little," say Delilah. "In school, I made All-State (vocal choir) four years in a row. I chaired alto-one (range between alto and mezzo soprano)." She continued her development in college, working with private coach Jody Whitfield (ex-wife of jazz guitarist Mark Whitfield) to polish up her classical technique.A chance meeting in '95 with Ladybug of Digable Planets at their New Orleans gig would set Delilah on her future path. "She wanted me to come to New York City," recalls the vocalist. "her intent was to use me as a songwriter and vocalist in a production company she was starting. I moved to New York in September,'95. We tried it for three months, but it didn't work out." Undaunted by this downturn of events, Delilah pressed on.Later that year, on a December night at Nell's (local live club) Delilah hooked up with musicians John Adams, Steve Williams and Pat Smyth of her present production posse, Funknstuff Entertainment. Sensing that these veterans (collective resume: Sade, Will Downing, Keith Sweat, DeLa Soul, Zhane', Ivan Neville, Nevelle Brothers, JT Taylor (Kool & The Gang), Mica Paris, the Digable Planets) had the skills and vibes that she neede to ...
