CANT WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU ALL....PEACE AB THANK YOU BARRY MCGUIRE FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE .if you've ever been to the lakes region of new hampshire - welcome back.if you've never been to the lakes region of new hampshire, what are you waiting for........ allan benoit, new hampshire's own home grown native son, the best kept secret in years, is about to become a songforce to be reckoned with.though he has been likened to the greats, he owes no one.he has been compared to tom rush, gordon lightfoot, harry chapin, and others, with a voice to rival rod mcguen and bruce springsteen, he answers to no one.his voice is unlike anyone else.deep gravel, dirt road, throaty sounding, a voice he could not steal from anyone - his voice is unique, like no other. a master storyteller for some time, he is not afraid to sing of unpopular themes or even a "silly love song" occasionally.he has written songs with other big names in mind, but never released them, until now. two songs that he wrote in 1970 for other artists, though they never responded to his musical advances, appear on this cd.he wrote "sheffield blue" with johnny cash in mind and "silly song of love" with james taylor in mind, so after all these years these two songs see the light of day. "post cards from the big lake" is a collection of eleven songs, if you listen closely you can hear the lakes region in a couple of them."big lake island" and "gunstock mountain morning" are very much love songs of new hampshire's lakes region. allan also shows a soft, painful side to love in "'til you go" and "a place to stay".both songs pulling very hard on the emotional heartstrings, and very real life experiences.allan can also sing about a gun (taboo in most circles) and make it a heartwarming ...

$15.95 When we first joined CDBaby we wrote our own bio info to share with you, but when you are writing about yourself it always feels a bit contrived. This review from noted Indie Artist reviewer, Adam Harrington was unsolicited and is better written in everyway. - Label: 'E-Heart Records' - Genre: 'Folk' - Release Date: '2005'- Catalogue No: 'EH-7285' Our Rating: ********** (ten stars out of ten) It isn't very often that I give an album the "It" rating. That grade is reserved for the Top of the Pops, a record that can be organized among the Chosen Few. Those who think all critics only reward ...

$13.65 The X BrothersJoe Bouchard on guitar and lead vocals.Andy Hilfiger on bass guitar and vocals.Jimmy Cacala on drums and vocals. The X Brothers - A Brief BioJoe Bouchard was a founding member of rock legends Blue Ă–yster Cult. He joined that group in 1970 and was their bass player and a creative force in the band for 16 years. After 11 gold and platinum records for Columbia, he left BĂ–C in 1986 to pursue other goals. One of his early projects was the formation of the X Brothers. The X Brothers were formed in 1988. Originally called the Cult Brothers, the group started as a four piece group with brothers Billy and Andy Hilfiger, on guitar and bass, respectively, and Jim Cacala on drums. As the Cult Brothers they toured all over the U.S. from Maine to Florida, Texas to Montana.Due to a legal dispute with Blue Oyster Cult, The Cult Brothers changed their name to the X Brothers and in 1998 released a very successful CD entitled Solid Citizens. Right after the release of the CD, brother Billy was forund to have a brain tumor. For the next four years, even though their schedule was cut back drastically, the group continued to play shows with Billy including several in upstate New York.In the meantime, Joe started a private teaching business and Andy became an executive in the fashion industry. But the lure of Rock and Roll would not quit for these diehards. Andy played several shows with Kid Rock as his bassist which included a worldwide appearance on the VH1 Fashion Awards. Joe recorded a CD with Alice Cooper alums, Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith. And Jimmy performed as a lead singer in an upstate hardcore band.Unfortunately, in 2001 Billy passed away due to his cancer. The band and large numbers of Billy's friends came together ...
