-----"Absolute is: intellectual lyrics coupled with raw instrumentation. The band has an unorhtodox yet smart sense about its music, which features complex rhythms and a vast range of musical stylings. From funk to blues, punk to alternative, Absolute's guitar and bass riffs are unmistakably intelligent." -Time Out, entertainment news excerpt"I love a good beginning, something that moves me, keeps me interested, makes me perk up.. This song does that, love the beginning fellas and rest of the song had a better light shining on it because of the beginning."-Garageband.com review of 'Dissonant'"This tune has some bizarre drum work. It reminds me of early Bill Bruford. This is tight, but off kilter ...which makes it stand out among all of the generic "in the box" writing that I have been hearing. This band has a strange but smart sense of time. Its tight."-Garageband.com review of 'Who I Am' "Pretty good tune, kinda grabbed me into the music. Like that singers voice. Could wail a tune without screamin at me. Guitars were wicked mid song. good ending!! Rock on!!"-Garageband.com review of 'On My Way' -----Conceived in the musically diverse Elmira, NY... Marty Dobranski, Kevin Savino-Riker, and Eric Laux come together to form ABSOLUTE, a band who's music jumps boundaries from hard rock to punk, funk, alternative, and even something on the bluesy side. This movement is starting to be recognized as "Post-Grunge," where the music's still hard, but there's a lot more thought and emotion poured into the mixture. Eric, Marty, and Kevin formed Absolute in 1995, when they were all just beginning high school. What began with Eric slapping a Rogue bass, Kevin hurting himself on a shoddy, nameless drumset from Germany, and Marty strumming away on an old Epiphone as they played Weezer and Nirvana covers, soon matured into an innovative and talented creative body. Absolute achieved local popularity playing "open-mic" nights, several highschool events, coffeehouse gigs, and private parties... gaining fans and earning valuable experience along the way. The band knew they were on to something with this new brand of music, driven by unique dual lead-vocals, after a fantastic "came-from-nowhere" finish at the Corning Battle of the Bands in 1999. Their performance granted them the opportunity to spend four hours in a recording studio to make as much music as they could. They managed to walk out of the studio with seven completely cut and mixed tracks, and a thirst for so much more. Consequently, Absolute decided not to play a single gig during the summer of 2000. Instead, they locked themselves in a basement and re-wrote almost all of their songs, all the while writing new material. Armed with this wealth of ideas and a lot of energy, Absolute met with Will Russell and recorded their debut album in 21 hours over August 5-6 at Electric Wilburland Studio in Newfield, NY. Absolute's album, "collage," is also currently available through their website. Collage album
$14.45 After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level ...

| | Muse The Resistance CD (2009)
Collage album
$15.65 With its titanic guitar solos, symphonic suites, and multi-layered melodies, Muse's fifth album operates under the assumption that bigger is better. This is the very definition of a super-sized album, an album that takes its cues from Queen, its lyrics from science fiction novels, and its delivery from rock opera. It's also the first time that Muse has truly sounded like Muse, as few bands since Queen have so readily explored the ...

$14.19 The last Stones studio album of the '60s finds the band, for perhaps the first time, accurately reflecting the spirit of its age. The erstwhile bad boy outsiders of rock now found themselves firmly in the center of the social and political ...
| | Susaye Greene No Fear Here CD (2002)
Collage music CDs
$14.79 Although Greene has a good number of credentials to her name, stretching back more than two decades prior to this solo debut, No Fear Here is a forgettable mainstream urban contemporary album. Yes, within that format, it's diverse, starting off with slightly menacing hip-hop-dipped soul in "End of Days," going into more standard adult contemporary ballads with a dancebeat tinge, getting into straight dance soul on "Letting You Go" (the song that would make one most suspect her prior experience in the Supremes), and covering "Bali H'ai" from South Pacific. Diverse, however, doesn't by definition mean exciting. This is unexciting, both in respect to material and to Greene's adequate voice, which only seldom demonstrates that it's capable of scaling a very high register. ~ Richie Unterberger
Susaye Greene's career started at an early age with baby food commercials; while growing up in New York City as a teenager, she continued to do commercials and attended Professional Children's School. Later, she teamed up with Harry Belafonte and recorded his "Streets I Have Walked" album and did several television performances with him. Susaye majored in drama at the High School of Performing Arts, made famous by the hit movie "Fame." While still very young, she traveled with musical genius Ray Charles, as a Raelett and featured vocalist, and she fronted New Birth's first million-seller "Until It's Time For You To Go," which still has a strong R&B and Hip-Hop following today. Susaye joined Stevie Wonder's Wonderlove and sang a duet with him: "Joy Inside My Tears" on his "Songs In The Key of Life" album. She began a long, ongoing writing association with ...

| | Radio Altar Arms CD (2005)
Collage CD music
$13.29 Have you ever felt totally passionate and excited about something in your life? I'm talking about something real that gave you a reason to enjoy living your life despite all the fakes, frauds, let-downs and disappointments this world has to offer. Something that gave you hope and made you feel like you might actually be an important piece in the bigger puzzle even if the final picture wasn't what you had in mind. For us, Radio Altar has been this something. This band is a way of sharing our love for the passionate expressive power of rock music and the overwhelming hunger we feel to enjoy and celebrate our faith. As individual members we all come from very diverse backgrounds but when it all comes together in a band it really feels like something special is happening. You look around the room and see a couple of Latino guys, a couple of white guys a black girl and a crazy Samoan and you wonder what the heck do these people have in common? Some of us grew up in the ghetto and some of us in upper-middle class suburbia but it is so amazing to see how true Christian love can break down the walls of race and cultural stereo types through the common goal of making music. Even though Radio Altar is a relatively new band with our debut album just being released this past ...
