In the days of prohibition in Saskatchewan in the early 1920s notorious Chicago gangster Al Capone had numerous hidden routes, underground passages and meeting places in Southern Saskatchewan, one of which was in the basement of the Homestead Hotel in Milestone. The interior of this hidden gambling house was green, from the poker table in the middle of the room to the chairs and walls. The sign on the front of the heavy oak door simply said “GREEN DOOR CLUB”Roughly 75 years later, this gambling house became the jam spot for 3 arising musicians named, Matt Palynchuck, Danton Moorhead, Mike Palynchuck, and later Mike Legault. The band became known to people that frequented the hotel and residence of Milestone as the ‘Green Door Club’ and they used that name for the band off and on until it finally stuck a short time ago. Much like Al Capone’s rise to the top of the crime world in the 20s, Green Door Club has honed their skills and straight up rock/hard rock sound and is on the rise in the underground scene on the prairies. Combining dual harmony vocals with catchy hard rock riffs, Green Door Club’s original rock sound earned them the crown at the 2004 Molson Canadian Rocks Band Warz. Green Door Club has also performed at pre and post game parties for the Saskatchewan Roughriders (Canadian Football League), the Western Canadian Music Awards Showcase and has performed on main stage line ups that included ZZ Top, Sum 41, Evanescence, Finger 11, Terry Cahill and Dean Murdoch (from FUBAR The Movie), Mudmen, Todd Kerns (formerly of Static in Stereo and Age of Electric), Britt Black (formerly of Bif Naked and Livonrelease) and more. Whether you want to rock out at the front of the stage or sit back and take it all in, Green Door Club will be pure audio bliss for your ears. Green Door Club Songs | 1. | Not Leavin' |

Green Door Club album
$9.58 Susan Boyle's grand unveiling on Britain's Got Talent was with a song from Les Miserables - the very song that lends this album its title -- and if she could become an international sensation based on a show tune standard, there's no reason for her to change her approach on her debut, since that's the sound that made her a star. Plus, a large part of Boyle's appeal is that she's a middle-aged woman recalling a bygone era when there were singers that appealed to an adult audience by offering soft, stately versions of pop hits and standards. That time was the late `60s and early `70s, and apart from a rather faithful version of Madonna's "You'll See," I Dreamed a Dream could very well have been released all those years ago, as it mixes up the show tunes, gospel, and Christmas carols with covers of Skeeter Davis' "The End of the World," the Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses," and a version of "Daydream Believer" that is easily the slowest on record. Boyle sings beautifully throughout, delivering more of the same of what she did in her moment in the sun on television. Those ...

Green Door Club songs
$10.39 Like the HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL franchise, GLEE became more than a TV show when several of its songs cracked the Hot 100, including the number four hit "Don't Stop Believing." That song kicks off this soundtrack, the first in a series of albums cataloging the music performed by the show's cast. Not all GLEE members are created equal--some cast mates are far better actors than singers--but this soundtrack has enough star power to keep things trucking along, especially when powerhouse alto Lea Michele takes the wheel. She sounds fantastic throughout, whether she's holding her own during a duet with Broadway queen Kristen Chenoweth or covering ...
| | Nirvana Bleach CD (1989) Deluxe; Deluxe Edition
Green Door Club album
$13.19 With a sludgy, chainsaw guitar sound that owes as much to early Black Sabbath as to Kurt Cobain's heroes The Melvins, whose drummer puts in an appearance here, Nirvana emerges from Seattle's underground scene as standard-bearers of a style that embraces the anger and energy of punk alongside the thick, muddy sonic attack favored by early '70s proto-metal bands. Cobain's lyrics are fueled by outrage and self-loathing, combining literary flair with a direct, visceral quality that makes him a viable candidate for the John-Lennon-of-Gen X award.
Nirvana's debut album showcases what sounds more like a force of nature than a rock band. The unrelenting fervor with which the group delivers these 13 tunes is almost frightening. There is also a strong melodic flair that leavens the ferocity occasionally, hinting at the scope of Cobain's compositional talents. "Love Buzz" and "About A Girl" show off enough pop smarts to make it clear that as strong as BLEACH is, Cobain's hiding ...

| | Patti B Forever CD (2004)
Green Door Club songs
$18.99 Patti B is a hell of a singer, lyricist and one smart lady. Some performers are given a key to the city - Patti earned a Phi Beta Kappa key at UCLA with a degree in Theoretical Mathematics. The throaty entertainer delivers a song with a voice as sexy as velvet and as gentle as silk with a professionalism shared by Garland, London and Gorme.Patti B lived the old lyric "on the road again" for over ten years. She sang her way across the country with The Girlfriends, was half of Berman and Buscher, and delivered song and sensuality with three brothers in The Closer Thais. Patti B moved from city to town, hotel to hotel, garnering wide welcomes from local club owners, audiences and critics. When not on stage, Patti is deeply involved in writing lyrics. As evidenced in her current CD, her writing style evokes haunting visual images and universal emotional memories.Patti B does what she loves doing; she's a saloon singer who reaches the contemporary audience in club dates backed by musicians that other musicians drop by to hear. Her new CD title reflects her feelings about her music, it's FOREVER.About FOREVERFor several years Patti has spent getaway time traveling in Greece. There she heard two melodies by the Greek song writer Antonis Kandasakis which inspired her to the lyrics for "When There are Star Above Me" and "Forever."The talented composer, musician Bobby Rodriguez created original music for a proposed television pilot. One weekend, when Patti read the script (which was written by friends) and heard the music, she didn't say too much. But a few days later, she shared her vocal vision of their project. The pilot was never shot, but the cut on her new album is a personal success for all of them. Patti B's powerful, unforgettable "A Man Alone" is as haunting ...
| | Braquet CD (2005)
Green Door Club album
$12.69 ***If you buy our cd, 100% of the profits will go to hurricane Katrina relief!***Braquet is an energetic four-piece hard rock band hailing from the Faroe Islands. Founded in 2002 by vocalist Andrias Højgaard and guitarist Arni Zachariassen, the two were soon joined by drummer Jóhan á Lakjuni. After going through a couple of bass players, the band found who they were looking for in Leivur Vitalis. Braquet play an refreshing mixture of the modern and the classic, combining elements from the 80's, 90's and beyond. Too pop to be called metal, the band is dynamic and engaging and is distinguished by their technical ability and melodic sensibility. Andrias' hauntingly beautiful and melodic vocals are a perfect contrast to Arni's over the top guitar work, which is supported by the super tight and rock solid rhythms of Leivur and Jóhan. Lyrically, Braquet are positive and life affirming, but honest about life's struggles. ...

$13.15 Title: The Discombobulators (CD Z6 0994)Group; Liana Flu Winks (NL/CH/UK)Label: ZZZZZZ RecordsGenre: Aliens forced us to play the wrong musicThe origins of this CD lie in the 'Liana Celluloid' project, a collaboration between Liana Flu Winks and various film makers (Joost van Veen and Martha Colburn among others) in which, for once, the music came before the film, rather than the other way round. The result of this was that even during composition the cinematic atmosphere was created musically, and the music needed the accompanying films less and less; hence ...
