This is the first time this album has been released on cd by Rising Son Records, Arlo's private label. It has been out of print entirely for several years. Recently this was digitally remastered to meet the highest standards. This classic album is still fresh and enduring. The songs range from folk roots like Woody Guthrie's "Oklahoma Hills" and John Hurt's "Creole Belle" to Arlo's Woodstock anthem, "Coming In To Los Angeles" and his rocker, "Running Down The Road". For those who had this on LP it will be coming home to an old friend. New listeners will love it. Running Down The Road Music Running Down The Road Review

Running Down The Road
$8.59 This 30th Anniversary Edition is a re-recording of Arlo Guthrie's 1st album.
A product of the hippie/protest movement of the mid-'60s, Arlo Guthrie, son of perennial folk icon Woody Guthrie, found himself with not so much a hit as a whole movement on his hands with the eponymous 18-minute saga of his arrest for littering and its deleterious effect on his chances of ...
| | Arlo Guthrie Hobo's Lullaby CD (1972) Remastered; Reissued
Running Down The Road
$18.99 This 1972 album was Arlo Guthrie's fifth, and continued his confident move from humorous troubadour (ALICE'S RESTAURANT) to one of the finest of the early practitioners of country-rock. After the gorgeous WASHINGTON COUNTY, which featured numerous originals, this time out Arlo focused almost exclusively on other people's material.
The album yielded one ...
| | Arlo Guthrie Amigo CD (1976) Reissued
Running Down The Road
$18.99 Released in the year of the American Bicentennial, Arlo Guthrie's AMIGO is rich with a sense of love for his homeland. Perhaps most stirring is "Massachusetts," a song that could easily be adopted as the state's anthem. He manages to express deep feelings in a manner that never devolves to clichT or empty boosterism, capturing the spiritual unity one can feel with one's home. The album is again produced by John Pilla and features the usual band of studio cohorts.
The arrangements and playing all support one of the finest sets of songs in Guthrie's career. He wrote all but three of them, and the album closes with his cover of the Rolling Stones' "Connection." ...

| | Steamy Bohemians Technicolor Radio CD (2006)
Running Down The Road
$9.85 The Steamy Bohemians - sexy smart purveyors of edgy irreverent comedy and hooky smart pop - are releasing their hotly awaited debut album entitled "Technicolor Radio." "The Steamy Bohemians not only take every pee-pee cah-cah joke and hand it back to nitwits still amazed by predictable crotch humor, but they make them like it so much that the nitwits then go home and masturbate. Feminism and fun? We used to have to keep that shit secret."- Barry Crimmins (legendary brilliant political satirist, activist, and stand-up comedian)THE STEAMY BOHEMIANS - THE BANDWith comparisons to Tenacious D, The Smothers Brothers, Schoolhouse Rock, 70’s Saturday Night Live, and the Muppets (burlesque Muppets, that is), it’s no wonder The Steamy Bohemians are making people urinate themselves with laughter. The Steamy Bohemians – Niki Luparelli (brilliant riotous comedian, skilled coloratura soprano, hand percussionist) and Lainey Schulbaum (multi-instrumentalist, sharp acerbic comedian, full lyric soprano) - are a libertine, femme-comedy, art-pop duo act. Part of their act is bawdy, artful chaos humor set to original and infectious pop-style music. The other part is comic banter, a mix of structure and ad libbing, with roots in the traditional stand-up comedy duo acts of classic vaudeville (i.e. Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, Martin and Lewis) and upgrowth into modern irreverent spontaneity. Their wit combines highbrow ironic parody with lowbrow filth. With one foot in their classical musical training as wide-range sopranos and the other in the brutal teeth-cutting of years of experience in more conventional stand-up comedy, Lainey and Niki alarm and delight audiences by delivering their cleverly crass lyrics with skilled operatic voices. With these elements, they create the high-art, lowbrow sensibility of the Steamy Bohemians. Live on stage, they alternate between freewheeling nothing-is-sacred tag team comedy and sweetly harmonized songs. In the recording studio, they take their irreverent vision to hyper dimensional extremes.TECHNICOLOR RADIO - THE DEBUT CDWritten and composed by Lainey and Niki of the Steamy Bohemians and produced by Boston-based genius producer, composer, and performer Scott Dakota (Valhalla Kittens, The Moors) and Steamy Lainey Schulbaum, "Technicolor Radio" is a sonic fantasia of edgy comedy, hooky smart pop, low and high humor, witty electro rock, skewed musical theatre, sexy tomfoolery, and irreverently unpredictable bewildering delights. Underground DIY rebel mindset brought to slick lush big production standards, it's a concept album gone somehow quite awry, yet somehow just right. Tour de whimsy. Because the wild ...
| | Steve Suffet I've Been Up On The Mountain CD (2006)
Running Down The Road
$10.15 Born Stephen Lawrence Suffet in 1947, Steve Suffet is best described as an old fashioned folk singer in the People's Music tradition. His repertoire is a mixture of railroad songs, trucker songs, union songs, old time country music, blues, ragtime, Gospel, topical-political songs, and whatever else tickles his fancy. He takes songs from whatever sources he wishes and then he sings them his own way, maybe rewriting the lyrics on the spot or changing the music to fit his own particular style.Heavily involved in the antiwar movement in the 1960s, Steve appeared at several of the legendary Broadside magazine hoots in New York City. Steve later left the organized folk scene for nearly thirty years, playing instead at political rallies and demonstrations, campgrounds, schools, day care centers, weddings, parks, pubs, and pick-up jam sessions.Steve returned to the folk scene when invited to perform at a Sis Cunningham Tribute Concert in 1997. Since ...
| | Pete Vogel Tightrope CD (2007)
Running Down The Road
$12.65 RadioIndy says this about Pete Vogel's latest project:"'Tightrope' is an impressive CD that features the adult rock and modern folk music of Pete Vogel and a cast of some of Columbus, Ohio’s most talented musicians. The music on the CD is layered with many instruments that nicely back the strong vocals and memorable songwriting. All of the tracks that we heard were solid, with many catchy upbeat tunes, nicely mixed with some softer, more acoustic tracks. The impressive musicianship on the CD is a testament to the strong local music scene in Columbus. “Hollywood, USA” has an excellent up-beat groove with screeching sax fills, and reminds us of Stevie Wonder. “On the Gable” is a beautiful, soft song with tasteful piano and acoustic guitar work that highlight an emotional vocal performance. “Are You Alive?” has an inspirational message that is effectively delivered by the soft, deep lead vocals and soulful backing female vocals. If you enjoy adult rock artists such as the Counting Crows or Peter Himmelman, you will enjoy this CD. Pick up a copy today!" "Tightrope" is the culmination of 3 years of work: one year of writing, one year of recording and one year of post production. Pete Vogel, a veteran performer from Columbus, OH decided to work from home on this project. Using Digital Performer software, a Mackie 8-channel mixing board and Samson microphones, Vogel wrote, produced, engineered and mixed this CD from home. "I wanted to write a CD that was both catchy and musical, and involved all the great musicians I've worked with over the past ten years." Vogel has worked with nearly a dozen bands since 1997, so he wasn't short on performers to help make his dream come alive. He hired the efforts of 27 musicians and singers for "Tightrope"; some are local music icons, others are session players ...
