"It's all about having fun"With his signature wild, curly hair and contagious grin, the music of Stuart Adamson reflects this philosophy. From the rockin', two steppers to the waltzing ballads, Stuart brings a smile to your face and leaves you wanting more. Although born in Ashville, NC, Stuart's honky-tonk, grab your partner, and dance with me sound reflects his family's original Texas roots. Raised mostly in San Antonio, Stuart's childhood was surrounded by the classical music his father loved. Later, his older brother and sister would bring home the Beatles, Herman's Hermits, Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Eagles, introducing a young Stuart to the music of the '60s and '70s.Stuart picked up his first guitar at age 10....it stuck. He paid his dues performing solo and in bands in spots all over San Antonio. Stuart began writing songs when he was in high school. In his words it "gave me a great way to talk to girls". About this same time, his perspective on music changed almost overnight. He was sitting at a friend's house when he heard Emmylou Harris for the first time. A major turning point, this swung open the door for Stuart to listen to many of the country singers that still inspire him and influence his music today.Stuart's first experience with professional musicians almost ended in disaster when, at 4 years old, he got thrown out of RCA Recording Studio B in Nashville. His father had taken him there with a family friend to drop off rewrites for a song Bobby Goldsboro was cutting. During the taping, the engineer heard a noise and stopped everything. The frustrated engineer determined it was Stuart that had ruined the take. Angry at having to start all over again, the engineer kicked everyone out of the studio. Luckily, what could have frightened fun-loving Stuart away from the serious, demanding world of music, instead only gave him greater insight and appreciation for it. Stuart Adamson released his first CD in August 2001. Many of the songs reflect the love that Stuart has for Texas. The crowd pleasing shuffle, Safety in Numbers and the title track to his CD, Weekends Were Made For Living were both written while Stuart was living in Nashville and missing familiar stomping grounds in his Lone Star state. Even the symbol Stuart uses on his CD and website is a nostalgic nod at his Texas heritage. It's the brand his Grandfather used on their ranch in North Central Texas. Stuart's travels down the country music path have taken him to many places. From the honky-tonk heaven, Floore's Country Store outside of San Antonio, to the songwriters'circles at the Bluebird Café in Nashville, no gig is too big or too small, as long as the folks listening are having fun. Weekends Were Made For Living album
$16.45 Wendell Hall is a songwriter, singer, and musician that works primarily around the country genre. He does however, work with other styles such as rock and folk whether within his own compositions or when working on projects with others.Wendell is from the small northeast Georgia town of Royston. His interest in music was fueled early on by his grandfather's banjo playing and the Christmas day jam sessions at his great grandmother's home. The classics, such as "Wildwood Flower" were played and sung along with the latest country and rockabilly hits. In addition, Wendell began looking forward to the Saturday evening block of syndicated country music shows; especially Flatt and Scruggs. For Christmas, right after his fifth birthday, Wendell asked for a guitar. However, being too small to handle the instrument, he received a mandolin instead. It would be several years before the mandolin would be played. He then started taking piano lessons when he was 8 years old and playing sax in the school ...

Weekends Were Made For Living songs
$11.35 DIONNE CHINNDionne was born in Buffalo, New York, and she was introduced to performing during the summer of 1977 when she showed-up at rehearsal for her family's rock-n'-roll band. Captivated by her aunt's rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams", a wide-eyed, little girl stepped-up to the microphone for a chance to sing. Although the other family members didn't take Dionne seriously at the time, she vowed to someday fulfill her passion for singing and entertaining an audience. After high school, Dionne began studying Aviation Mgmt. in both Florida & Alabama, and later received her pilot's license. As she migrated West, Dionne landed in Tucson, AZ., in the early 1990's and discovered a genuine appreciation for such artists as Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, and George Strait. The storytelling impact of Country Music describing life's hardships and good times both touched her as well as inspired Dionne in an extraordinary way to evoke her own natural talents and instincts to craft heartfelt lyrics and melodies in writing. Earlier in life, Dionne became familiar with the enormous talents of Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, & Linda Ronstadt which collectively gave her "points on a compass" so to speak. Having absorbed the energy and influence of rock n' roll and the soothing presence of rhythm & blues, Dionne was ready to design her own original Country style with an emphasis on a Country Blues/ Honky-Tonk sound. While living in Florida between 1997-1999, Dionne began singing in a studio environment as a "demo" singer at an independent music production company in Pembroke Pines, FL. Finally, it was time to make the big move to Nashville in January 1999 where she began working with several independent producers to develop a "signature sound". Dionne began singing at the local clubs such as Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Broken Spoke Saloon, Legends Corner, and the world famous Wildhorse Saloon. After doing a fabulous rendition of The National Anthem at The Gaylord Entertainment Center, ...
