For the past 8 years Matt & Dave have concentrated on being the tightest rhythm section they could be. Two years ago out of necessity they decided to broaden their base and branch off to play alternate instruments. Surprisingly they found that writing songs this way added a new excitement to songwriting. The result is a totally different style evolved from starting with the rhythm section and then building on it. Added to this are refreshing melodies and pretty ballads"If you like harmonies you gotta get this disc". | | John Mayer Battle Studies CD (2009)
Milk & Cookies For The Reaper music CDs
$12.95 It's no secret that John Mayer is a 21st Century Fox, wining and dining women all through tabloid headlines, so it's about time he delivered an album that traded upon his loverman persona -- and Battle Studies is that record in spades. Retaining more than a modicum of the slick, soul-blues undertones of Continuum, Mayer fashions a modern groove album, a record that maintains a smooth seductive vibe so thoroughly it spills into a one-man band cover of "Crossroads." Mayer remains somewhat of a disciple of Slowhand, but he shows an unusual interest in the big AOR stylings of Journeyman, along with Stevie Ray Vaughan's In Step, creating a coolly clean blend of synths and Strats, one that's as much about texture ...
| | The Very Best Of Enya CDs (2009) With DVD
Milk & Cookies For The Reaper songs
$21.00 Comprised of 18 tracks culled from the singer/composer's first three decades, The Very Best of Enya was pieced together by the artist herself, along with longtime collaborators Nicky and Roma Ryan. Luckily, the trio seems enamored by most of the same songs that the general public is, resulting in one of those rare "greatest-hits" collections that goes deep without depriving the listener of the essentials. With tunes like "Orinoco Flow," "Caribbean Blue," and "Book of Days" in the pot and out of the way, it's easier to appreciate hidden gems ...

| | Vertigo Pilots Over The Eclectic Edge CD (2003)
Milk & Cookies For The Reaper album
$15.95 Vertigo Pilots is a conglomeration of three diverse musicians who have stepped "out of the box" to create an eclectic musical experience. The band's philosophy is simple; no rules! Vertigo Pilot's music is the manifestation of true passion and an honest expression of the band member's observations as they travel through life. While the main instruments behind the Vertigo Pilots sound are bass, drums and guitar the band accentuates their music with a variety of instruments. Prior to forming Vertigo Pilots, the members of the band knew each other for many years having played studio and live situations together throughout their individual musical travels. The members of Vertigo Pilots are Steve Bulger, Tim Harrington and John Stevens. Steve "I don't understand your genius" Bulger is Vertigo Pilot's quintessential bass player and lead vocalist. With funk in his veins and a song up his sleeve Steve is a musical firestorm on stage. In addition to holding down the bottom end, Steve also contributes acoustic guitar playing to the Vertigo Pilots sound. Prior to joining Vertigo Pilots, Steve played in Platypus (Vain Records) whose single "swing" received heavy rotation throughout the southwest. In addition, Steve has been involved in several successful band projects throughout the East and West Coast and has performed on various studio projects for advertising and commercial applications. Tim "how many strings does that guitar have" Harrington is Vertigo Pilot's guitarist and backing vocalist. Having ...

| | Amanda Richards Not Always Sexy CD (2006)
Milk & Cookies For The Reaper music CDs
$17.09 Once in a great while, it happens...A young, prodigious musical talent emerges, compelling you to intensely feel, think and respond. You're deeply touched by songs that peel away the layers of love lost or found (or distorted) and simultaneously amazed at the tremendous vocal and stylistic range. From sensuous acoustic to gritty homicidal rockabilly---- from straight-ahead rock to steamy bossanova--- from swingin' 13 bar blues to hysterically dead-on country satire--- you're moving through a rich emotional journey highlighted by several surprising twists and turns. You're profoundly struck by the depth and wisdom shown by someone who's only 22 years old. And, most of all, you're enthralled by that voice---- The passion.... The strength... The conviction... The versatility. Once in a great while, it happens...and now it happens to be Amanda Richards and her debut CD "Not Always Sexy."~The first track, "All The Way to the Bottom," is a punchy, wryly ironic rocker about the vagaries of life with a manic depressive:"Arms spread wide...If we believe, we can fly...All the way to the bottom...'Cause we've been deceived by gravity."The second track, "Magnum 45," is a rhythmic, sinister and homicidal Rockabilly centered upon the revenge of a woman who's more than a little ticked off with the unsatisfying outcome of a one-night stand. Each track showcases the many intriguing facets of Amanda--- a penchant for ...

Milk & Cookies For The Reaper album
$8.55 POLARIS is from Southern California with a desire to bring back the significance of the lead guitar and complex song writing with dynamic vocal passages, seamless bass lines, and high energy percussion.A little history might say that Randy Ramirez (lead vocals/lead guitar) and Rocky Ramirez (drums) have known each other for a long time. This is true, because they are brothers. Biologically too. Most people see no resemblance. And we don't beg to differ. :) They started playing music together at a young age, "Smoke on the Water," and eventually began writing their own music. Rocky was working at Mars Music sometime in August of 2001, and fell across an amazing bass player he knew who was perfect for this band. Roland Maniago is his name. Very talented and very serious about every note that extrudes from his bass. Randy, Rocky and Roland, started to ...
