Storm was almost arrested for disturbing the peace as he sat on the corner of a residential neighborhood blasting his boom box, singing his songs. Storm has been in contest and has performed in clubs; Storm enjoys music, he sold 1500 copies of his single (I Lied) until he was stopped by a police and ordered to stop selling his CD's without a license or he would be arrested. Storm decided to dedicate his time and energy to the business of music and bring to you his new CD (Play it Again). The CD is love, joy, pain and life through the eyes of Storm; the song Big Girls is nice and will grab the attention of a whole lot of big girls. The song Life will make you think how good life can be if we learn to love and live in harmony. Storm enjoys reading, working out, boxing, Kung Fu and acting. Storm hopes that one day, he would be able to help obtain free prescription medication for senior citizens who can't afford to pay the high cost of prescription medication. It's hard to guess why Chieli Minucci releases some albums under his own name and some under Special EFX. Party could have been a solo album since it includes the same principle lineup as Minucci's own Night Grooves, and once again he is the sole composer. Regardless of how he chooses to package it, Party is right up there with his best moments in Special EFX or on his own. As the title suggests, it's a funkier, more upbeat, and more straight-ahead Special EFX, with the late George Jinda's influence being felt on the occasional worldbeat moment. Minucci can deliver the tunes and unlike most of the smooth jazz competition, he gives the sidemen plenty to work with. Bassist Jerry Brooks doesn't waste any of his moments in the spotlight (check his Jaco-like runs on "Dusk Till Dawn") and saxophonist David Mann's turns are always meaningful and responsive to the other players. Even when Mann's soprano gets a bit too precious on "Fantasies," Minucci's contrasting trickle of notes keeps things interesting. So what if the boppers crinkle their noses? With both Party and Night Grooves seeing release in 2003, Minucci has delivered two polished and funky home runs in one year. ~ David Jeffries

Talksicc is a hip-hop group/company based on The Big Island of Hawaii. Along with other businessmen, artists, producers, and a positive street team, Tonic and Pete-Nutt head the front of this movement with goals and aspirations of opening a wider hip-hop market in Hawaii. They work as a record company: producing artists and developing their image into a marketable product. Founded and now residing on the Big Island for the past six years, Talksicc has helped pioneer, teach, and live hip-hop in Hawaii. The group consists of 7 main rap artists and features other talented artists as well as male and female vocalists. By the sound of their music, this is not your average hip-hop group you would expect out of the Aloha State. Members in this large and expanding group are from various places around the United States and of coarse, Hawaii. Throughout the six years of building and constructing, Talksicc has put out several EP releases and bootleg copies of their past material. "Work Your Hustle Volumes 1&2" were the EP's that caught the buzz around the islands. As the buzz of an up and coming local group began seducing the ears of listeners, they continued to work harder to produce more music for the fans. Doing their own graphics, finding artists, producing, recording, mixing, and promoting became an everyday job (along with their families) for group members. During the struggle, problems escalated amongst racist and envious bouncers, bitter owners, and jealous people. Talksicc had to learn how to cope with the other side of the business. Through the journey, they encountered numerous political and prejudice problems that were easily overcome by their professionalism. As pride would show it, on July 2nd 2002, Talksicc released their first pressed album entitled "ColdWorld." This album will cross all boundary lines in the Hawaiian music industry. It will remind fans and other artists that music is self-expression, so it's not illegal to exercise the freedom of expression.
