THE MINISTER John Butler is a ordained minister and is the Founder & Pastor of Living Faith Christian Fellowship in Springfield, VirginiaThe Executive Chief of Operations & Co-Host of Gospel News TVA servant of God, John Alvin Butler, was born on October 14, 1965, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the son of Rev. John Alvin Russ & Mrs. Ophelia Butler Warrick. He is the oldest of five children. Reverend Butler is the proud husband of Mrs. Theonita Marisa Hampton Butler and the father of two lovely daughters.He holds a degree in Engineering from Delgado's School of Engineering, Christian Bible College of Kenner, Louisiana and Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia. He accepted his calling to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of sixteen. He was licensed in 1982, by the late Rev. Dr. G.R. Washington Sr. of Guiding light Baptist Church of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was ordained by Bishop J. Barry Bowers earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music from the University of Nevada, Reno. He has played with symphony orchestras in Reno and Las Vegas, and in orchestras accompanying many prominent entertainers, including Elton John, Billy Joel, Wynonna, and Kenny Rogers. He now concentrates on writing and recording arrangements for the 6-string electric violin, an instrument which incorporates the ranges and qualities of the violin, viola, and cello. Barry has played in worship bands in churches in Reno, Las Vegas, and Lake Geneva Wisconsin, and has appeared as a guest artist in many churches in the U.S. and Brazil.
