| | DEFAULT OUTFIT Casual City CD DEFAULT OUTFIT Discography of CDs
DEFAULT OUTFIT is a straight ahead, take only the clothes on your back, unpredictable journey for the masses. Just before committing to the sound of a windows-down road trip, it abruptly shifts towards the ethereal feel of a lonely midnight ride, making sure to make the necessary stops along the way. The pristine acoustics lead the navigation through the pop landscape, buoyed up by waves of gritty distortion. The barrage of beats pushing each track forward encourages the efforts with playful determination. Riding freely upon the sound are the vocals of a desperate passenger, hoping to reach land, but seemingly afraid to get off. With the dramatic ambitions of Grace-period Jeff Buckley, and the presence of a more optimistic Counting Crows, DEFAULT OUTFIT played its first chords before a live audience on Halloween 2001. The band's commitment to thrilling, layered shows has vaulted them to the Boston-area's most venerable stages and venues throughout the Northeast. In November, 2002, the band released its 12-track debut LP, Casual City. The response was overwhelming. DEFAULT OUTFIT sold out shows at the famed rooms of Bill's Bar and Middle East, all the while garnering consistent critical acclaim. On January 2, 2003, Boston's largest circulation newspaper, The Boston Metro, featured DEFAULT OUTFIT and their wildly successful debut. Recently, the band was selected to showcase at the 2004 NEMO Music Conference, where they played on Friday evening at the Middle East to a capacity crowd. Lead vocalist and bassist, Tom Richards, has been likened to, "John Waite at his best," by The Noise, while Northeast Performer proclaimed DEFAULT OUTFIT, "one of the better bands you've heard in a while." DEFAULT OUTFIT released their third CD, Heading Toward the Light in 2006. Along with Styx and REO Speedwagon, Journey ruled the charts and radio airwaves in the early '80s. And like the aforementioned bands, Journey began in the '70s, so obviously the compilers of its 1988 GREATEST HITS release had a lot of material to choose from.
Journey's sound was a merger of hard rock, compliments of guitarist Neal Schon, and the melodic pop/ballads of singer Steve Perry. This resulted in such classic rock radio staples as "Any Way You Want It," "Separate Ways," "Open Arms," "Don't Stop Believin'," "Wheel in the Sky," and "Who's Crying Now," all included here.
Greatest Hits is an excellent, thorough 14-track collection containing all of Journey's big hits, from 1978's "Wheel in the Sky" to 1986's "I'll Be ...

Casual City songs
$15.15 First AmendmentRelease Date: 7/1/2002Main Contacts: Doug Gibson and Bubba SmithWelcome to my world. I've been expecting you. So let's break some ice. I'm Doug Gibson. Singer, Songwriter, and guitarist for First Amendment. I played Bass in bands such as Street Legal, Magick, Quantum, in my younger days. My latest band was Hardrive in which I shared vocal duties and was the lone guitar. I recorded one origonal demo with that band, but we disbanded in 1999. My true passion has always been in the creation of music. So in 1995 I claimed the guitar as my number 1 instrument. I set up a home studio and soon I was addicted to writing music. Experimenting with many styles of music, but heavy metal and hard rock is where it's at for me. This CD is blessed with a little of both. I used a variety of different amps and effects so my guitar sounds didn't get repititous. Most everything on this CD was preformed by myself with the exception of some guest preformers such as Tony Kendall on lead guitar for some tracks. This guy could give Eddie Van Halen a run for his money. He shines on "Mental Man". He also co-produced this CD. I also recorded at Jr. Motel in Otho, Iowa. Kirk Kaufman also helped produce tracks on this CD. Kirk found fame with the Hawks in the 80s. Groups such as Planet Melvin, Jr's Army, and members of Slipknot have recorded at his studio. Working with these people has helped give this CD variety to keep you off balance. From the ...

Casual City CD music
$17.09 Since a chance meeting at the University of Denver, Andy Hill and his singing partner Renee Safier have carved out a unique musical niche for themselves in the Los Angeles club scene (and beyond). Their performances – more than two-hundred a year – are as much social gathering as musical event. Part fan family reunion, part rock & roll tent revival, their incomparable live shows attract a large, enthusiastic, and fiercely loyal group of fans.As a songwriter, Andy Hill is a student of the folk and rock classics – Van Morrison, The Band, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, and Bob Dylan – and it shows. Boundary-pushing use of the language, sweeping vocal harmonies, unforgettable melodic content, and tightly crafted arrangements are all hallmarks of his writing and producing style.Andy & Renee, along with their band Hard Rain, have taken their unique sound and multi-instrumental skills (as well as being riveting vocalists, they both play guitars and keyboards) to venues large and small all over the world. Local Southern California highlights include House of Blues and the El Rey Theatre in Hollywood, and the Hermosa Beach Civic Theatre. They have also played at Telluride Blues Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival, Napa Valley Folk Festival, Sierra Songwriter’s Festival, Winery Music Awards and the Bob Dylan Festival in Italy.Their nine independent CD releases have won them countless awards, including: 2007 LA Music Awards “Americana Group of the Year”, “Best Duo/Group” ...

| | Glasstown Your Trendy Dump CD (2003)
Casual City songs
$10.15 Songwriters Adam Klein and Michael Mullen follow up Glasstown's first release Living and Forgetting with an instantly engaging if elliptical work. Your Trendy Dump is not merely an indictment of a culture blindly pushed along by tastemakers and the interests of industry, but ultimately a record about accountability. From its opening song, Good Will and Charity to its closer, Ringing the Changes, the lyrics explore the uneasy concept of "love with strings": responsibility, trust and choices. To these subjects, Glasstown brings its own sense of humor, musical urgency, and intimacy. The band worked with Sharky Laguana (Creeper Lagoon), Scott Solter (Tarentel, The Court and Spark) and Tim Mooney (American Music Club, Mark Kozelek) to create a record where moments of chaos give way to plangent melody. Band members are ...
