#48 ON THE AMERICANA CHART, #43 ON THE ROOTS CHART, #7 ON THE EURO-AMERICANA CHART AND #4 ON THE BLUEGRASS CHART!!!These guys are just quirky. The Carburetors have captured an endearingly earthy vibe with these 11 numbers - and they probably weren't even trying all that hard. "Vodka Says...," "Women or Guns," "Cotton Dust," "Good-Sized Girl," so on, it's all as real as it is raw, as sincere as it is simple.- Wichita Falls, Times News Record"The Carburetors from North Carolina swing for the fences on their CD. The musicianship shows the ease of a band that's been playing together for a while. With an upright bass, dobro, banjo and mandoline adding to the guitars and drums, one can hear the Carolina influence. The songs are meaty and substantial and a fair amount of them are dark and sad. There are also fun, upbeat songs like 'Quarter Machines' and an ode to the Rubenesque in 'Good Sized Girl'. There's no denying that The Carburetors could bust out and get the attention of Nashville." -- Clint Weathers, Freight Train Boogie"Out of nowhere, The Carburetors debut CD, "Y'all Don't Tell My Mama I Was Here" is true Americana Alt. Country at its best!!! These guys are gonna be around for a long time."- R.W. Shamy Jr., TwangCast.com"These country-rockers from North Carolina play a hot Americana sound. Influenced by rock-a-billy, honky-tonk, folk, country, etc., they've put their very own Carburetors country-rock sound on their debut CD, Y'all Don't Tell My Mama I Was Here."- Yves Messany, BillyBopNorth Carolina's own "The Carburetors" national debut on the Chicken Fried Music label. Jay Goree, Mark Warwick, Duke Domingue and Bill Munoz cover it all: bluegrass, honky-tonk, rock-a-billy, folk; just when you think you've got them pinned down to one style they surprise you with another. This will be the album that defines the Americana genre.Eleven original songs featuring guest artists:Phil Johnson (Phil & Gaye) on mandolin, dobro and harmonicaScott Sharp (The Blue Rags, The Hula Cats) on steelTroy Campbell (Recycled Percussion) on drumsPaul Eaton (Roger McGuinn) on banjo Y'All Don't Tell My Mama I Was Here Music Carburetors Y'All Don't Tell My Mama I Was Here Songs | 1. | Huntsville |

Y'All Don't Tell My Mama I Was Here songs
$12.89 Many years ago, T. Gould set out to have the most fun possible. He found that putting bands together and making music was the means to that end. The first band was called the Rhythm Bandits and debuted at Carnegie Recital Hall. The next band was called the Flyboys because Tom shares the same birthday as Charles Lindburgh and that the experience of forming a band in a garage and expecting it to fly was somewhat similar to the "Spirit of St. Louis." The Flyboys grew to become the Bossa Nova Beatniks, ...

Y'All Don't Tell My Mama I Was Here album
$11.39 There are moments when you realize that you have just experienced something huge; something you feel has a significance you will remember for a very long time! I have experienced that a few times in my life, and when I have, it has always been a bit overwhelming.Music has played a part in many of those moments for me. Granted, these moments are not the same as remembering the first time you saw your true love, or the 'firsts' your children experience; those moments far surpass any other, and live forever. Music, though, can be extremely powerful, and make a powerful impression!Again, the credit goes to Jenny for being the first to really appreciate the work of The Witching Hour. She was a fan long before I was, and has been playing their music around the office and in our van for a long time! I heard the stuff, and knew that it was good, but didn't have the opportunity to sit down and really hear just how good! Trust me on this; when you hear it, and I mean really hear it, you will be blown away! The Witching Hour is primarily the brainchild of a very talented Denver, CO musician by the name of Kenny James. Kenny is a very accomplished musician who has spent many years as a studio/touring musician, performing with the likes of George Clinton and the P-Funk All Stars, The Samples, Nina Storey, and many other notable acts. He began his work with The Witching Hour in 1994, after a band that he was touring with decided against using one of his original songs. From that moment on, The Witching Hour became first and foremost in his thoughts. He continues to work as a hired gun with other groups, but his passion belongs to The Witching Hour. Also a part of The Witching Hour is Kenny's alter-ego, Stormy Chase. Stormy, also known as 'The Uninvited' is a spirit walker, and lives his life with only one purpose: to bring his ghostly image to the stage and perform. Thus, in the spirit of another famous frontman/alter-ego, Alice Cooper, The Witching Hour brings a live performance to the stage that is always entertaining, and very unpredictable! After all, who can tame a Spirit Walker? The music on Crimson Glory Symphonies is, to be honest, incredible! All of the tracks were recorded live at Red Rocks near Denver, CO! Red Rocks is a legendary amphitheater; my earliest memory of Red Rocks is the U2 concerted recorded there in the early 80's. So, to me, it is impressive to think that a group has achieved the status necessary to play there! I had heard the studio recordings, and knew that the songs were awesome. However, hearing The Witching ...
