Martin's Favor"So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man." Proverbs 3:4Bringing triumph and victory to their music, this spirit filled group of brother and sisters are making their mark in the Christian and Gospel markets. Elaine, Eric, Janine and Francine Martin are Martin's Favor. With the independent release of their first CD, Need To Hear, the group shared their message of overcoming life's adversities. This refreshing, talented family writes, produces and has sung their way into the hearts of many. The new release, A Place, takes you on a journey that results in perfect peace. The new songs explore the frailty of the human condition and tell us that there is a place of sanctuary while here on Earth. Martin's Favor's sound is a special blend of genres that create a feel of calm and fun while celebrating their message of Hope, Praise and Thanksgiving for the Lord's presence in their lives. With a vocal blend that sounds like a prayer, each note is a call to communion. "It is necessary to recognize that God is the reason for all of life's success, as well as struggles which are for our growth," says lead singer Elaine. Having a desire from a very young age to be an asset to their ministry, each member of this group has earned a Bachelors Degree in Business from the University of Southern California and is very active in their local church. Recognized as prolific songwriter's as well as singers, their resume includes a multitude of studio projects and road shows. Martin's Favor has been featured on MCA, Motown, as well as personal television appearances on NBC's "Later "show as well as the TNT movie, "Call Me Clause" with Garth Brooks and Whoopi Goldberg. The group has also appeared with Tramaine Hawkins, Chante Moore, Gerald Albright and Lesa Terry, as well as shared the stage with Brian McKnight, Mary J. Blige, Yolanda Adams, Marvin Winans, Andrae Crouch and Rizen. Moving crowds from despair and hopelessness to a state of grace, Martin's Favor is a vessel for Life, Truth and God's Love for man. $17.69 How does one come about with an inspiration to create a "Singing Rosary". In my own case, it happened when I least expected, but isn't that how God always works with we poor souls.A Little Background. I'm a professional singer, entertainer, recording artist, songwriter, owner of a recording studio and host of a public policy issues program which airs daily on cable television in South Florida. The Professional Years. Along with two of my brothers, Art and Pete, as The Lane Brothers, we toured and entertained the length and breadth of America, Canada, Europe, and on world cruise lines for a number of years. We recorded for the RCA Victor record label both in New York and in Nashville and appeared on national television Shows such as, The Jackie Gleason Show, The Tonight Show, Dick Clark's Bandstand, The Mike Douglas Show and others. The Early Days. Being from a Roman Catholic home and brought up as altar boys and choir boys, and being three of ten children, we have always found a way to attend Mass on Sundays, and in Art's case, everyday, and generally we have tried to live our lives according to the tenets of the Church. I've composed songs since my youth, but I had never explored writing for the Lord, until one day in the mid '80's when at the urging of my wife and partner Phyllis, a Presbyterian by way of the Nazarene Church, I wrote, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, a series of what I referred to as "Jesus" songs, primarily for a young Seminole Christian couple who came by the studio one day, and we proceeded to record an album. Soon I began singing my own "Jesus" songs and appeared many times on the "New Breed of Man" television program aired on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. The "Singing Rosary". I have never been a 'rosary' person for whatever reason, while my brother Art on the other hand has been faithful to Our Blessed Mother for many years as a Blue Army Member. I'm also sure that my sweet mothers' devotion to Mary and the rosary rubbed off on me more than I realized at the time. One evening at my home in 1992 while attempting to write some new songs for the Lord, along with my guitar, I found myself singing a melody to the "Hail Mary". As I refined it and worked it to match the words, I discovered that the same melody fit the 'Our Father and the "Glory Be" to my pleasant surprise. Yes! The Lord does work in mysterious ways. I guess He surmised that if this poor soul would not 'say' the rosary to His Blessed Mother, He would give me a melody and have me 'sing' it. I'm most grateful to the Lord for the inspiration to compose this, "Singing Rosary", and for all of the talents He so graciously entrusted to me. I pray that through His wonderful grace, I will continue to sing the Praises of the Lord here on Earth and forever in God's heavenly kingdom. May this "Singing Rosary" bless and inspire you to even greater spirituality each time you pray it. An accolade to five friends. I want to express my sincere gratitude to a friend and gifted musician, Hernan "Teddy" Mulet, whose wonderful talents are heard throughout the "Singing Rosary". Teddy composed and performed the ...
| | Bree Noble Healing Waters CD (2007)
Place album
$11.39 In January 2007, Bree Noble was named Best Female Performer at the Inland Empire Music Awards in Southern California. Her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence have won over audiences at large venues such as Saddleback Church and Dodger Stadium and at intimate venues like small town churches and coffeehouses. Her fans will tell you that she has the unusual ability to sing anything from Rock 'n Roll to Opera. Whether she's performing her signature lyric-driven pop/rock or a sensitive acoustic ballad, her vocals communicate deep emotion. This classically trained vocalist may even throw in an occasional offering by Bach or Mozart to display her vocal and artistic diversity. Although Bree's vocals are always compelling, they are not her greatest asset. Songwriting is her real signature as an artist. Her style has been compared to Nichole Nordeman, Ginny Owens & Sara Groves. Musically it is a blend of Contemporary and Adult Alternative that is both mainstream and eclectic. Bree likes to think of herself not as a Christian songwriter, but as a songwriter who is a Christian. She writes about specific aspects of her own Christian walk, but she also writes about problems that are universal like greed, homelessness, racism, and family situations. Her lyrics explore common emotional issues: apathy, fear, loneliness, mistrust, and seeking joy in suffering. And then there are those special songs that are her most personal, that convey her heart, not just as a woman of faith but as an individual who has learned to overcome great adversity. Bree has Glaucoma and has been legally blind since birth. With songs such as 'Running' and 'You Are My Vision' she unveils her most intimate feelings about growing up with a disability and how it has affected her life and her relationship with God. Bree spent her elementary years in Redwood City, ...
