John Horrocks is a master guitarist/singer/songwriter from Rigaud, Quebec. His newest cd release Heart & Soul, is a unique collection of songs written from his experiences of the last ten years touring across Canada. John's music and lyrics deal with personal growth and transformation, socio-political issues, and life events, delivered with rich vocals and a beautiful fingerstyle guitar technique. This new compact disc Heart & Soul will be released to stores this October 2005 on Empress Records. The official launch and concert will take place October 7, 2005 at the Sucrerie de la Montagne in Rigaud, Quebec. We are currently booking tour dates for this this fall, and winter. and summer 2006. John Horrocks has previously released three other albums including his initial solo effort Learning About The World (1994) as well as two instrumental new-age recordings , An Original Music Project...(2001) and Undersea and Other Stories (1995) written and performed with William Harrington, as part of the duo Melodies On Canvas. Mr. Horrocks has also produced two albums for Montreal-based blues group Bishop & Masse. John Horrocks has toured all across Canada, winning over audiences with his powerful voice and dynamic guitar playing. He has performed numerous concerts at colleges and universities, and as part of many outdoor summer concert series and at numerous theatres and cultural centres, at cities and towns throughout Canada. He was nominated COCA (Canadian Organization of Campus Activities) 2000 Entertainer of the Year. John Horrocks uses long lasting Elixir Guitar Strings.
