You could call it cross-cultural chill-out music. Or you might prefer to use terms like "ambient," "fusion" or "lounge" music. But one thing is certain - the music of Angel Tears is nothing if not innovative. The group, now celebrating their fourth release, creates music that is meant to intrigue, with elements of various genres melding in one large melting pot of rhythmic groove. You can't help but get lost in the sprawling soundscapes of trippy beats, ethnic flavors and synthesizer bliss.Based out of Tel Aviv, Israel, Angel Tears is essentially the project of two artists: Momi Ochion and Sebastian James Taylor, who composes and performs much of the material. Ochion's roots lie in Israeli pop and world fusion music; as such, this foray into global grooves is familiar territory. Ochion is the melody man of the duo - he is the brain behind the compositional aspects of the album and a lot of the studio work of the group. Sebastian James Taylor hails from London and has a history of working with electronic music under the guises Kaya Project, Shakta and Digitalis. Other artists fill out the ranks, including DJ Srulik Einhorn who has acted as producer for the duo's albums and a variety of vocalists, who lend the music its distinct exotic flair with their intoxicating vocals and chants. Rondell Greene born in Racine, Wisconsin on February 6, 1987. He was surrounded by music at a very young age. With his mother's influence as a gospel singer, he learned to sing with the emotion and spirit that captures your attention. From his father's influence as an R&B musician, he learned to sing with the rhythm and soul of an R&B artist. Besides being inspired by his parents, he also gets inspiration from artists like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and R. Kelly. Rondell started his music career in the family group "Level 3." The group started singing in church with their mother in the early 90's as choir members and family members. The group consisted of his two brothers and twin sister. During his time with the group, they appeared in the Guy Black Annual Talent Search and won at the Indiana Black Expo, both based in Indianapolis, which was sponsered by BET in 1997. They also opened for notable acts such as Joe, Monifa and Seduce. They also performed at a benefit for Mayor Trobaugh of Kokomo, Indiana in conjuction with United Way. At the age of 17, he decided it was time to venture out and begin his solo career. It was time to become "R.G." On his journey to becoming a solo artist, he has developed his own style that has turned out to be a lovely sound. Chrizzow Flex, geboren 1981 in Frankenthal (bei Mannheim) als Sohn einer kanadischen Mutter und eines deutschen Vaters ist seit 1996 Rap-aktiv.Angefangen hatte alles mit der "Fenster zum Hof"-LP der Stieber Twins, die ihn veranlasste eigene deutschsprachige Texte zu schreiben und diese zu performen. Durch die Schule lernte er diverse gleichgesinnte Leute kennen und gründete so im Laufe der Zeit einige Crews, darunter sogar eine Crossover-Formation mit E-Gitarren und Schlagzeug.Sein erstes richtiges Lebenszeichen gab Chrizzow (damals noch als Chrizz FX unterwegs) mit seinem Anfang 2000 releasten Tape "Schlagzeilen" von sich. Das selbstproduzierte Tape wurde in kleiner Auflage hergestellt und verkaufte sich erstaunlich gut, so dass insgesamt einige hundert Kopien unters Volk gebracht werden konnten.
