...owes more to pop, classical, and eastern music than jazz. Natural sounding instrumentation.......a nice contrast to noodling new-age synths and saxophones. ....an unique soundtrack in search of a movie, a good movie. Swift excels at creating melodies and embellishing them with subtle supporting arrangements. Layers of additional guitar, piano, and percussion give many of the pieces an ensemble sound but it is all the work of an individual.Though well produced, the album has a quasi low-fi aesthetic that lets the melodies speak for themselves and gives the album a more intimate feel than the mass of contemporary instrumental music that tends to be hyper-polished and without soul.Travelog is a soothing and intriguing album that works well as a backdrop to your relaxations but is also clever enough for intent listening. Beginning with Louis Armstrong, through Harry James and Bobby Hackett of the Jackie Gleason Orchestra, the trumpet was once a king in pop music. This was true even in '60s-era easy listening, as demonstrated by the success of Al Hirt, Herb Alpert, and the ultra-shrewd German musician Bert ...

| | Barbra Streisand Guilty CD (1980)
Travelog CD music
$7.05 Released in September 1980, GUILTY was Barbra Streisand's best-selling album to date, moving in excess of 20 million units. It is Streisand's THRILLER and arguably her best recorded work. This is largely due to producer Barry Gibb, who developed the songs especially for Barbra, and whose vocal presence is felt throughout the record. "Guilty" (a duet with Gibb) is a mid-tempo smash that blends the superstars' vocals to create pop perfection. "Woman In Love" topped the charts for three weeks and features the trademark "chipmunk-like" Gibb on background vocals.
"Run Wild" is an uptempo number showing that there's no filler here. "Promises" is a mid-tempo track that sounds custom-made for radio airplay. "The Love Inside" features excellent keyboard arrangements while ...

| | Echo Mutt Virtual Chew Toy CD (2002)
Travelog songs
$12.69 The Sound: Echo Mutt bangs out a colorful blend of music that fluidly incorporates a wide variety of influences. Their sound has been described as an eclectic combination of Blues, Funk, Fusion and Rock. Think of it as if Eric Clapton and George Clinton invited members of Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rush over for lunch; and they all ate Red Hot Chili Pepper sandwiches smothered in Pearl Jam. Echo Mutt will groove you, rock you, seduce you and leave you completely funked up! "What we serve is so delicious, it's musically complete and sonically nutritious", says the band's drummer, Mike Eudy. The Players: For quite a few years, the members of Echo Mutt have been quietly residing in and around a variety of other local bands in the Washington D.C area; such as: Speak-Easy, Natty Skank, The Cavemen, Jelly Finger, and Camel Pie. Recently, several of the founding members wanted to solidify a lineup for a new project. After lots of jam sessions and numerous auditions, Echo Mutt was born during the early fall of 2000. The members are: Ed Daza on lead vocals, Jeff Sandler and John McConnell on guitars, John Celia on bass, and Mike Eudy on drums. "Most people get freaked out when I start licking my bass, but not these guys.", explains John Celia. The History: In January of 2001, Echo Mutt released ...
