The Emeralds - The first time I heard The Emeralds I thought to myself "This is it. This is the band I've been waiting for". At some point we all find that one band that clicks in our heart and mind, and for me that's The Emeralds. They create these intense, sweet, and at times slightly melancholy songs that stick with you. Live, they really focus on engaging the audience despite language barriers, which is hard not to admire.(b-chan, from WRAS 88.5 http://www.nipponmusicchamp.com/, on interview with TokyoNoRadio,http://www.tokyonoradio.com/) Emeralds Talk About Love Songs | 1. | Talk About Love | $0.99 | |

$14.30 Rush is no stranger to best-of compilation albums, they've released a slew of them. They are also no stranger to DVDs. To mark their 35th anniversary, they've released Working Men, which is both; it marks their first best-of live compilation exclusively from the DVD sets Rush in Rio (2003), R30 (2005), and Snakes & Arrows Live (2008). There is also an unreleased cut from R30 -- a killer version of One Little Victory. While fans may simply regard this as a record company cash grab, hardcore fans know how closely Rush monitors each release and controls all aspects of their career. On hearing these tracks without benefit of the visuals, it becomes lucidly clear that in the ...

Talk About Love CD music
$12.55 Brady Harris' new CD LONE STAR is the follow-up to 2000's critically acclaimed GOOD LUCK STRANGER (Top 10 CDs of 2000: Pop Culture Press, Delusions of Adequacy)."One of the strongest roots-pop releases we've heard not only in 2003 but in the last few years."-NOT LAME RECORDS (www.notlame.com)"The Texas-bred, Los Angeles-based Harris goes on a highly rewarding musical trip through Beatlesque pop-rock and singer-songwriter intimacy."-Michael Berick, NO DEPRESSION MAGAZINE"Brady Harris' Lone Star is Brit Pop mixed with country-rock. You'll feel like you're in a London metro feeling suddenly retro. Great stuff."-Tony Peyser, SANTA MONICA MIRROR"Three years on since his critically acclaimed Good Luck Stranger, Brady Harris returns with Lone Star, a lush and layered third effort. Rich in its details, Harris' tunes range everywhere from '80s college radio somewhere between the dB's and The Church, to echoes of the Beatles filtered through lazy, twangy Americana. He capably assembles the sweetest of melodies alongside darker sentiments, making for honest, aching song craft. With a voice often likened to John Lennon on his early solo albums, this California dwelling Texas native seems to bring the best of both locales to his sound - twinkling pop, dark humor and engaging storytelling." -MILES OF MUSIC (www.milesofmusic.com)"Another set of alt. country-pop from Harris, who is quietly writing and performing some of the best songs around these days. Think Ryan Adams, only a bit more faithful to whatever sound he's playing at the moment.Harris writes songs that immediately affect me...He knows how to make a song bite immediately and how to reel in a listener slowly as well.In my last review (Good Luck Stranger), I called his songs timeless. That description fits the pieces on this album as well. Harris shouldn't be unknown for much longer. Talent like his is all too rare."-Jon Worley, AIDING & ABETTING + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + BIO: "Former frontman for the Replacements-inspired Solid Goldsteins, Brady Harris' solo career has diverged from his previous work into a sound altogether more indicative of his Texas roots. Bearing considerable vocal resemblance to John Lennon, Harris crafts moody country-rock with a hard pop edge. Strongly melodic with a confident wit, he combines well-traveled themes with stoic romanticism. Having paid his dues as a starving artist, busking on the streets of Paris and London, Harris found himself in Los Angeles recording one album with his former bandmates before releasing ...

Talk About Love music CDs
$5.99 "Sometimes loud, sometimes soft, yet always powerful, Dave Devlin is the consummate musical artist."Dave Devlin was born on May 31, 1976 into the urban arms of Philadelphia, PA. He has found both comfort and inspiration in its surrounding towns, where he has also been inciting a unique musical principle over the last five years. Nowadays, Dave plays a variety of area venues, from major clubs in Philadelphia to New York City, to intimate stages and coffeehouses locally. Seven years ago, Dave began writing music as a catalyst for the experiences and tumults in his every day. He masks the ordinary and provincial through an eclectic array of songs that embody a combination of raw emotion and sharp wit. Dave has been known to change the energy of a room effortlessly, which makes his live performances unforgettable. Days after a show, an attendee will most likely find herself humming his driving rhythms and stacked harmonies, or singing a hook from any one of his compositions. In 2000, fate stepped in, and led Dave to Michael Kianka, President and founder of the DTC record label. "The first ...
