| | Debe Welch Crazy! CD Debe Welch Discography of CDs
Winner of the "Best of The Burbs" contest in the Chicago area 3 years in a row. Also, winner of "Best Girl Group" in Chicago winning a national song release and radio spot.Chicago singer/songwriter Debe Welch distinguishes herself with strong songwriting ability. Memorable guitar melodies and distinctive rhythms will keep listeners engaged from beginning to end. She sings her songs with passion and honesty, and each tells a story that captivates. The title track, "Crazy," is about people who only know how to settle for less in life. "Over You" starts with a smooth acoustic rhythm and has a melodic country flare produced by the addition of mandolin. "Song For Anna," also has a catchy mandolin part that will remind you of a Doobie Brothers song. The bluesy sound of "One Kiss" showcases Debe's versatility. The classic rock sounds of "I Just Fell In Love" and "Goodbye American Dream" add another dimension to this collection, and "If The Love Is Strong" has a haunting guitar lead reminiscent of Steely Dan's earlier music. Track 3, "Can't Find Time", is a song about marriage and family. As the lifestyle unfolds in the chorus, "Outside everything looks fine, but it's way past Prozac time and she'd like to lose her mind, but she can't find time", many of Debe's listeners tell her they identify a piece of their own lives in her writing. This CD boasts a variety of musical style & craftsmanship. Not only is Debe a solid songwriter with a beautiful voice and a knack for harmonies, she is surrounded by a group of talented band mates who make this production rock. This is Debe's second CD. Enjoy it! This songwriter is a rocket headed straight up. Crazy! Crazy!
$19.29 Nowadays Chris Harwood is being touted as Britain's great lost female folksinger. That's understandable -- her sole record, Nice to Meet Miss Christine, launched the tiny indie Birth label in 1970. The album disappeared soon after, probably because most listeners were unable to get beyond the first track, the exceedingly self-righteous, anti-racist "Mama," whose justified anger doesn't exonerate the song's ...

| | Jordan Doucette Lie To You CD (2004)
Crazy!
$8.55 In the hills of north central Massachusetts is the rural town of Winchendon, population 9,918. Nicknamed Toytown because of it’s history of wooden toy manufacturing in the 19th century, this is where Jordan Doucette was born Amy Elizabeth Doucette in 1983. Her home was a modest third floor apartment in small town that had little to offer. Her music career began as a child when she and her mother would sing along to Aretha Franklin records. Linda McCormack taught Jordan some guitar techniques and gave the adolescent a world that would provide escape from a bleak reality. Today, Jordan Doucette's world changes when she takes the stage, and that's what she does for her audience. This natural loves performing for audiences large and small. "I want to leave people feeling inspired. I find it freeing to be able to relate to people, and on stage you can weave your world around people and pull them in." That was her goal when Jordan recorded her first independent album, Lie To You. Lie To You boasts eleven tracks penned and performed with Jordan's customary spunk. In it, Jordan's four-piece rock band pulls driving beats, power chords, delicate percussion, compelling melodies, and emotionally charged lyrics together with a touch of acoustic funk. With songs inspired by everything from a spur-of-the-moment road trip to New York on $80 to a teen running away from an abusive father, Jordan draws you through a well-crafted road trip of life's bittersweet moments. With a honey-dipped voice as sultry as a tropical summer day, her silky rock style freely lends itself to any subject this chanteuse shares. And the industry has been taking notice. Lie To You has already been featured on internationally syndicated radio program Blues Deluxe, with four of the album's eleven tracks making a showing in the top 40 pop rock charts at freeworldradio.com. Metronome Magazine agrees that Lie To You is "Worthy of a Boston Music Award Nomination", and State of Emergency(.net)'s Amy McGill says it all when she states "Doucette is a sophisticated singer/songwriter that easily belies her years... This record oozes talent and it's just a matter of ...
| | Justin Roth Up Until Now CD (1997)
Crazy!
$10.15 Fom an early age, singer/songwriter Justin Roth stood out as a musician. A very determined and independent child, in the third grade he declined an invitation to sing with the St. Croix Valley Boys Choir because he did not want to miss his Saturday morning cartoons. Since then he has put that dedication to cartoons behind him and applied it to music. We can all be glad for that.Blending intricate guitar work, smooth vocal melodies and a groove, Justin offers up a rousing potpourri of new acoustic folk. Knowing that he stands on shoulders of those who came before him, he's been compared to the likes of Michael Hedges, David Wilcox, Martin Sexton and Willy Porter. A fan once said after that when Justin plays guitar, "it's more than just an instrument but an extension of himself." Seeing him perform, you see what they ...
