Five-star, high-energy punk, funk, and modern rock-influenced. "No Doubt meets Peppers, with sometimes heavy grooves"CMJ and Album Network national airplay charter. Packing L.A.'s best rock clubs including The Whisky-A-Go-Go, and the Troubadour, Shut Up Marie grabs the audience with an awesome stage presence & amazing energy. In the exciting advent of female rockers returning to our changing music scene, Shut Up Marie stands alone, with a unique sound that their critics & fans compare to no one. Great female-lead rock bands of today, including early No Doubt, The Donnas, & The Distillers all get mentions when trying to find a band that Shut Up Marie can be compared to, but S.U.M. is definitely distinct from all of these bands, bringing in a heavy post-grunge influence that sets them far apart. The first music video for Shut Up Marie is for their song "Raining Like Crazy". You can view this video by visiting:http:// treasureentertainment. net/tf_fv. htmCharting nationally at both CMJ (College Music Journal), and commercial radio alternative specialty chart "Fairly Underground" (ALBUM NETWORK), S.U.M.'s 4-song EP "DEMO" takes you on an all-too-short journey from frantic, crazed, addictive guitar and vocals in "Raining Like Crazy" to to Shark's signature sultry-Latin-groove in "Leaving Me". Average reviewer rating: 5/5 stars! Check out these hot reviews at Amazon :1. "WOW! Powerful, powerful stuff. The band plays tight and determined and the lead vocals reveals a talent that will surpass the talented female singers you hear on the radio. It is clear to me that this band shines with talent. Annette has such a beautiful voice her sincerity rings through with the feelings she conveys through her songs. Mark Evangelista sets the bands power through his talent and finesse behind his drum kit. And the swirling guitars and the sound of determination in his playing reveals a lead guitarist to be reckoned with. Shut Up Marie's music is a force of sound that will make you want to turn it up! I highly recommend that one and all pick up a copy of DEMO. You will not be disappointed!"2. "Just got the DEMO from Shut Up Marie ..... cant say enough about the writing, singing and playing. all 4 songs are unique in the styles they are played....great drums, guitar playing is awesome, bass player really knows the fretboard and vocals are as good if not better then the hot female led bands out today."3. "I recently saw Shut Up Marie live for the 1st time, and I became an instant fan.... if you like passionate, powerful rock/punk, you will LOVE this CD! $19.98 It's a commonly held opinion among fans and band alike that Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' lone live album, 1986's Pack Up the Plantation, didn't quite capture the group at its peak, so there has been a long-standing need for another live set, which 2009's Live Anthology finally provides. Like its closest cousin, Bruce Springsteen's Live 1975-1985, Live Anthology almost overcompensates for the long wait by offering almost too much music, cherrypicking highlights from 1978 to 2007. In its simplest incarnation, Live Anthology is a super-affordable, four-disc box set running 48 tracks, which is eight cuts longer than Springsteen's box, plenty long ...

| | New Invisible Joy Trust CD (2004)
Demo music CDs
$15.19 Originally planned for release in spring 2003, New Invisible Joy's third album, Trust, did not see the light of day until February 2004. The extra time spent in recording and production paid off: Trust was a major improvement over their ambitious if mildly misguided and over-produced sophomore effort. Recorded for a purported 1,500 dollars, the album doesn't rock as hard as their 2002 self-titled EP, focusing more on songcraft and particulars than spirit and power. This was a smart decision, as the spirit's still very much there. John Schisler's vocals once again balance fey and fierce elements, showcasing impressive range and malleability, from the smartly raspy "Chevy Nova" to the quavering, Keane-like "Stories You Tell." Lead single "Thursday Song" offer stratospheric vocals in its fine soft-into-hard arrangement, but it's "Hold" that sets a new high-water mark for the band, a sensitive delivery from Schisler married to guitarist Mike Gaydos' subtlest guitar work to date. Gaydos retains his Edge-like love of effects pedals throughout the album, while the rhythm section of drummer Brian Colletti and bassist Evan Handyside is as rock solid and nonobtrusive as ever. Trust didn't expand New Invisible Joy's reach far beyond its native Pittsburgh, but it did allow the band to rediscover its Europhilic voice after brief overtures to arena rock, and is a consistently engaging record from start to finish. ~ Joseph McCombs
When New Invisible Joy first appeared on the Pittsburgh music scene, they immediately began seducing fans, fellow musicians, and critics with their euro-textured sound and head turning live performances. The band's debut album, "Pale Blue Day", was dubbed "an aural masterpiece" by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review called it "inventive, creative, experimental, bold ... fresh and original ... ...
