Why album
$11.89 BY A THREAD is Gov't Mule's first studio album since HIGH & MIGHTY was issued in 2006. Since that time, bassist Andy Hess has been replaced by Jorgen Carlsson, though Hess appears on two tracks at the end of the album. Carlsson's playing style is much more aggressive than Hess', and is therefore closer - in spirit anyway - to Gov't Mule's original bassist, the late Allen Woody, though he possesses an adventurous sense of time and is harmonically more colorful than either Woody or Hess. Carlsson and drummer Matt Abst are a solid match, since Abst is a drummer used to shifting time signatures and allowing the unexpected in while still driving a band. The band's keyboardist and rhythm guitarist, Danny Louis, is a shape-shifter, playing to whatever is needed in a given track. His ...

With its finger-snapping big band arrangements, the album has its share of homage to Frank and Dino, both obvious cornerstones of Buble's ...

Why songs
$15.19 What do you imagine heaven to be like? Peaceful? Happy? Refreshing? Fun? How about all of these things and more? Let the unique lyrics, acoustic style and vocal harmonies of Paul and Susan Hansen bring the Atmosphere of Heaven into your life-in Spanish!Paul was an itinerant folksinger-songwriter based in the Greenwich Village section of New York City in the late sixties. He also played in a rock band in Illinois for a time. Later, he moved to Atlanta and teamed up with guitarist-songwriter Pat Alger to play clubs and colleges in the Southeastern United States. Before Paul left the duo, "Hansen and Alger" played a folk festival in Putney, Vermont. This connection eventually led to Paul's meeting his future wife, Susan. When they met, Susan had just begun to write her own material. Their friendship developed as they gathered often with other musician friends to play old favorites and share original songs in various living rooms, back porches, and fields in Vermont. Although they shared a great love with these wonderful people, a greater love called them to a yet ...

Why album
$18.99 "I am always looking for new and different bands from all around the USA, really all around the world, and occasionally I'll just get something out of the blue, a package, and I'll open it up and pop it in the CD player and hear something and say, 'Hey man, I gotta put this on the air!' "-Russ Davis of XM Satellite Radio announcing Meteorite's song "ZeeBop" on Beyond Jazz (channel 72)What's that crunching sound? It's the music of Meteorite smashing into your face!A one million dollar bill is hidden inside just 5 (five) Meteorite CDs!Meteorite makes you look taller and slimmer, giving you the aggressive self-confidence you need in today's go-get-'em world.8 out of 10 dentists recommend Meteorite for their patients who listen to music. And as always, Meteorite is low-carb! Meteorite isSam Shober - guitar, vocalsGary Wheat - saxophones, vocals Taylor Propp - bass, vocalsMichael Glaser - drums, vocalsMeteorite grew out of a straight-ahead jazz standards group that Sam formed in Birmingham, Alabama. Gary, Michael and Taylor had each worked with Sam in his jazz outfit, and when Sam decided to create a band that would feed his appetite for jazz AND rock/ funk, the combination of these four musicians stuck. Meteorite spent their first year as a cover band, paying tribute to Stevie Wonder, MMW, Charlie Hunter, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, Traffic and especially The Meters, the legendary four piece New Orleans funk band.As their live sound came together, the Meteorite boyz began to create a body of original work, and it was at this point that the word started getting around ...

Why music CDs
$8.39 NEW YORK -- After eight years of playing guitar in nothing but cowboy boots, a hat and a pair of briefs (crudely marked "Naked Cowboy," to point out the obvious), Times Square's most famous street performer is taking his naked ambition to the next level. He's been hard at work on a monumental debut album as part of his plan for "dominating the commercial landscape of the world."The music will “rock clubs, bars and dance halls worldwide”. the Cowboy (real name Robert John Burck) said in a recent interview with The Associated Press. The music on this EP is fun, hard-hitting, high energy and edgy. Crafted by top NYC producers Lee Evans and Gaetano “G-man” Lattanzi of 4 Sight Music Productions, Naked Cowboy admirers are in for a real treat. Some of the tracks have eyebrow-raising titles, the most prolific, perhaps, being "Get Your Ass Kicked by a Man in his Underwear.""Every major record label is gonna compete to be the one to represent this project. Once again, The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Naked Cowboy," boasted the Cowboy, “this is its own genre of music," Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, NC tried his luck in other cities before bringing his act to Manhattan, where he's only been arrested twice _ one time for trying to lead the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and another for crashing a red-carpet event. He makes a comfortable living from tips, licensing deals with local novelty stores, TV commercials and "checks from countless people, I don't even know where it's coming from," he said.In the 3rd quarter of 2006, Naked Cowboy met up and inked a deal with “4 Sight Music Productions” (www.4sightproductions.com) who honed his sound to be “Naked Cowboy Big City Style”. All material was recorded and mixed at JAMBOX Recording NYC (http://www.jamboxstudio.com) ...
