"District 8" functions within the Washington State Jurisdiction of The Church of God in Christ as a normal church choir singing to minister God's word through song. The choir serves the District during District Fellowship Meetings and when necessary during State Conventions. Made up of about 20 voices, this group of singers has surely taken the music ministry to a higher level within the District and endeavors to stay on the road to progression within the ministry. War Cry came about on a chilly fall night while Robert Anderson, founder and CEO of Rob-A-Live Productions and Minister of Music for the District, drove home from work. After the September 11th World Trade Center Bombings, the Lord spoke a simple but powerful melody in his heart that was to remind God's people that the "weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God...(II Corinthians 10:4)" The government could only do what they knew when it came to conventional warfare but they lacked the knowledge and acknowledgement that spiritual warfare was the real answer. All we had to do was acknowledge God, cry "Hallelujah", anyhow, and God would do the rest (II Chronicles 20:22). This principle should be applied not just at wartime but in our daily lives also.Rob-A-Live Productions is a ministry, making music come alive, within Washington State, and hoping to move abroad to National as well as International Ministry. The production is made up of approximately 8 vocalists (not featured on this particular single) from the Pacific Northwest's Puget Sound Area. The production company focuses on forwarding the ministry of each of its members, as almost every member has a unique ministry of music, and on meeting the needs of people outside of the four walls of our churches. Tecora Rogers was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and has been singing since joining the Angelic Choir at her church at the age of six. Now internationally renowned, Tecora Rogers' gift is her ability to reach into the soul of the listener and make them feel the warmth she feels as she communicates through song. This talented “triple threat” (singer, writer and producer) also hosts her own television program since August 1996. The Tecora Rogers Show airs every Monday at 10:00pm on Channel 19 in Chicago. Tecora hosted her own radio program in 1998 on WYCA, Hammond, IN.Tecora is the recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Grant; she is listed in the 2005-2007 Illinois Arts Tour Artist Roster and has won two National level awards for her 26-part African American History television documentary series. She served on the Board of Directors of CAN-TV for 2 years and worked as a Practice Director and Director of Transition assessing and implementing technical sites around the world. Tecora has also been awarded a contract with After School Matters in Chicago for her original concept, L.E.A.D.E.R. (Lessons to Encourage Activity, Dedication, Education and Responsibility) Program. L.E.A.D.E.R. will be taught at part of the after school program in the Chicago Public Schools for the 2006/2007 school year. Tecora has served on many panels speaking on Women’s issues and now travels world-wide speaking and conducting African American History workshops. In addition to her many television and speaking credits, Tecora has performed gospel and jazz throughout the United States, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Slovenia, Belgium, Germany and Asia. In 2003 Tecora had the opportunity to establish her own gospel group “The Chicago Spirituals” who toured Italy for the first time in December 2004 and were so successful, they were asked to record a CD, which was completed in February 2005.
