Omar MonDragon de Leon and Gregg Harris Tauriello have combined their talents to produce this extraordinary collection of popular Spanish Classics. VIVO! has recieved excellent reviews from all of their fans across Northern Arizona. "We have both been musicians for over 30 years, we are very adaptable to play any kind of music,"said Omar. Being raised in a Hispanic family, de Leon was influence by Latin music since he was a child, that tells you where his heart is. "I met up with Omar one night and asked if I could sit in on one song and we just clicked can't really explain it but the music sure feels right," said Gregg. Tauriello is from Rochester, N.Y. began playing violin at the age of 10, however quickly realized his talent was on the lead guitar. Between the Spanish and Italian backgrounds the two musicians have a dynamic and smooth sound. The Pants Situation was an unintentional phenomena. Singer/Guitarist Dan Block was recording a solo album on which he would play all the instruments but the drums. He had his friend Jono Leff come into the studio to do that. After the album was recorded, artwork was made for it, and everything was ready to go. But Dan started jamming with Deane Calcagni, and they decided that they should start a band. Dan, Deane, and Jono joined together to form The Pants Situation. Not wanting their hard work to go to waste, new artwork was put together for the album, which would now hold the TPS name where Dan's used to be. While Deane is not on the album, he is part of The Pants Situation. Over the next few months, big changes took place. The band morphed as Jono was replaced by David A Branch and bassist Ben Van de Graaf was added. Dan Block says the following about the album:This album is not the typical debut studio album. When it was recorded it was gonna be released as Dance by Dan Block. When I went into the studio, I wanted to make something different. I was sick of turning on the radio to hear thesame old crap playing over and over again. Studios these days are capable of so much that albums don't feel real anymore. I wanted to create something real, something that people could feel and understand. The songs I chose were personal to me and the style I chose to record it in had a very live feeling. I didn't bother to fix up every vocal note with a computer or make sure every drum hit was right on. I wanted my audience to feel that they were right there with me, feeling what I feel. Traditionally in a live performance, it's not perfect. And this album, in its imperfections, becomes perfect in my mind. But don't expect us to sound like this ever again. When we play live, we play with electric guitars and really rock out. The reason I chose to use acoustic and not have many solos on the album is because of two things.One, I was listening to a lot of mellower rock at the time and I was really getting into that kind of thing. And two, because I wanted to experiment with an acoustic sound in a rock ...
