We don't know why this happens once in a while, but we suspect it is plainly because the music is so esoterically & pro-attractively creative, as to be lost & found in the post modern atmosphere of the 21st century "UFO Lady" is so hopefully intrinsic & heart felt like nothing since; The song we heard way back in the 70's or 80's that was so fantastically great is like this song. He's Living on Dreams... no, no...He's Finally Living! Just in case you've been wondering for the past three years, that sailing dreamer has been found... lying in a hammock in the shade of an old palm tree down along the coast of Mexico! Yes, Gary Seiler is back... back with a new CD of all original songs. Seiler, who is best known for his many years as the front man for the west coasts first and longest running Jimmy Buffett cover band Buffed Out, has been a fixture in the local music scene for over 20 years. During this time, he has been fortunate enough to share the big stages with established artists such as Jimmy Buffett and Willie Nelson, and many others and has performed in venues from San Diego to Bora Bora. Thanks to the support of Parrot Head Clubs (Jimmy Buffett Fan Clubs) Gary has entertained in his country from Seattle to Key West. His love of Mexico and the islands has given him the opportunity to sing in places like Cozumel, Cancun, San Carlos, San Felipe, Cabo San Lucas, Moorea and Bora Bora.All of this is not so bad for the boy, born in Germany, who, with his family, moved to this country at the age of two. After all, America is the land of opportunity, and the Seiler children were raised to believe that with hard work and persistence, anything would be possible. That lesson was not wasted on Gary.The love of music began at an early age. As a young boy, he listened to country music with his father. That might help to explain the new sound on his recently released CD 'He's Finally Living'. When asked how he would define the sound, Gary said "Southern California country-beach music". That is a bit of a departure from his original CD 'Living on Dreams' that can easily be classified as 'beach music'. Of course, with this surfing troubadour, "beach" will always be a significant ingredient to his music.The new CD, contains ten original songs. It begins with the subject of 'Living on Dreams' finding that a life he was searching for and starting anew - thus, 'He's Finally Living'. There is the very nostalgic 'Back to Another Time' speaking of an era when life was simpler and the streets were safer. The beach is the primary focus of the very upbeat 'Gone Surfin' which makes good use of some wonderful saxophone and old fashioned surf guitar. A trip to Cozumel inspired the song of the same name. It is a song that all hopeful romantics will be able to understand. Then there are the relationship songs: She Said "It's All About Me", Back to Their Island, and She Wants Him. The later is pure country (a 1940's Grand Ole Opry sound ) with lots of steel guitar; a bit of a departure, but it works! ...
