Believing In June facilitates an honest, no ego, "this-music-belongs-to-everyone-so-lets-make-the-most-of-it" mentality. We're Believing in June from Portland Oregon!!! we play music because it's what we love to do. we're in this band to meet cool people, not to be cool people. this is our bio, because we think bios are really annoying. we play in other bands like Brutal Fight, Giggitty Giggitty Giggitty, and Sans You/Think Like Cougars. we would love for you to come out and see us someday when we're in a town near you. and if you're in a band, we'd like to play with you.-- The Portland Mercury!:While I'm violently against gerunds at the beginning of titles, and especially band names (Judging Amy, Watching Ellie), I forgive Believing in June because they make up for it by playing totally great music. The mix of hardcore screaming and heartfelt (but not cheesy) singing combined with heavy guitar and tons of dope changes makes for a band whose album you should really buy (Hope is a Sound) and whose show you shouldn't miss. I'm not even joking. KS-- Valentine's Day Note:dear believing in june, we think you're cute. want to go steady? fine. we don't even give a care. or a rip. love, dead like dallas Believing In June Hope Is A Sound Songs | 1. | Instrumental |

Hope Is A Sound album
$10.15 The High Country is Sacramento-based guitarist-singer-songwriter Shawn Vreeland's long-awaited debut album. Combining well-crafted songs with an Americana/country tinge and impassioned jams, this CD will appeal to both jam-band fans and those who enjoy good songwriting. The CD features outstanding backing performances from members of The East Portal Express and Kate Gaffney as well as tasteful pedal steel work from Natan Rodriguez.Excerpt from from 11/29/07 Sacramento News and Review (CD release show):The band’s guitarist, Shawn Vreeland, ...
| | DR Fong Best O' Fong CD (2007)
Hope Is A Sound CD music
$9.29 Dr. Fong aka Jay Wilfong made his way to his present hometown Nashville, Tennessee in the late 90's. The infamous Doc and friends are a conglomeration of the some of the best studio peeps, touring rockers, bluesmen and the best of those not quite right Nashville cats. These guys are never the same twice and have more war stories between them than Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwartzenegger! Picture bullet riddled life surviving bluesmen! Fong started out WAY back in the 60's at little Indiana venues and rocked his way to a small piece of fame and fortune in bands such as the Poverty Programme, Cottonwood Junction, The Pandemonium Shadow Show and then founded one of planet's most incredible and least known bands "Primevil". Primevil ...

Hope Is A Sound songs
$12.69 Hi.Mitch here. First thing first - that's not me on the cover. I promise. If you enjoy compact, whimsical, oddly melodic, sometimes funny little pop songs then you should enjoy "The Importance of Sauce". But beware, the arrangements and instrumentation are not always predictable or ordinary and 95% of the time I've written, played, recorded and mixed everything myself in my home studio.Guitar genius Dave Gregory, formerly of XTC, plays some dizzying riffs on "Simplification" and several of the songs on the disc were created during a 5 day long songwriting course I took in England taught by Mr. Ray Davies of The Kinks. He even helped out with a few of the numbers.I won't say it's Beatlesque or pop or rock or even alternative... it's just me.Thanks and enjoy. Here's what some others have said about "The Importance of Sauce": The whole thing is extremely charming.Lots of great songs filled with memorable hooks and wonderful lyrics -- Dave Gregory Mitch is a funny and interesting little man-- Ray DaviesI'm in love with it! Great kwirky pop in the Kinks/XTC/Beefheart vein -- Ayrton Mugnaini Jr.SAUCE is so much fun, & "Simplification" is surely mind-blowing! I'm actually considering Covering it! -- R.Stevie Moore.A tasty, original concoction that is both funny and fun. Buy it for the lyrics; buy it for the Dave Gregory "get in, blow their shit away, and get out" guitar solo; buy it for the excellent photography in the liner notes; just BUY IT -- Todd Bernhardt. You are a poet! You are a satirist. You are a pretty darned good songwriter! --Roger FergusonBloody well done -- Becki DiGregorioCool songs, with the great sense of humor you're rightly famous for, you're in excellent voice, and the playing is good, too. And I liked the design and photography as well. All in all, a really cool deal -- Tom DonaldAn inspiring photography, music and lyric package. Kind of reminds me of vaudeville and XTC -- Tim ArchibaldOverall while I hear influences the sound is original, personal and decidedly non-commercial... power to ya! I'm digging it -- Eleanor Ramsay Fascinating lyrics and fabulous photos! I'm impressed that you produced this all yourself! -- KateShiban"This Friend" is very XTC -- Geoff MurrellIt's brill -- Geoff Lewis"From the scintillating salvo of 'Simplification' to the waning strains of 'All the Best to You and Yours,' 'The Importance of Sauce' is a triumph ...
