| | Adam Lambert For Your Entertainment CD (2009)
Love And Other Words CD music
$11.18 With Adam Lambert, American Idol finally got a finalist who was completely, utterly contemporary, aware of what's hip in music and culture and aware of how music is made and consumed in 2009, never seeming to try to follow fads or set trends, just embodying the time. Mercifully, he came in second to Kris Allen, for if he came in first he may have had to tame his self-styled glamazon ways. A second place finish allowed Lambert to come out of the closet and indulge in his penchant for theater on his debut, For Your Entertainment -- which isn't quite the same thing as camp, for if Adam Lambert is anything, he's earnest about his dress-up, never winking at the audience because he doesn't think there's much funny about his glitter ...

| | John-Michael Sun Code Red CD (2003)
Love And Other Words CD music
$12.15 John-Michael Sun Bio & CODE RED Mission Statement On April 5th, 2003, watching the horrors of the Iraq War unfold, I was shocked awake, indelibly changed. As a progressive adamantly opposed to the war, what became acutely clear to me was that something must be supplanted into the consciousness of the American people-an impassioned affirmation, a fervent chorus that rings true and screams YES, again and again, for George W. Bush's removal in 2004. As a songwriter and lyricist, I turned toward what I do best and I kept it honest, so tired I was of the ambiguity of people's conversations and unwillingness to say what needs to be said, say it like it is, or to even go there. It is obvious we are at a crossroads. We can change the course of history in November 2004. We have the power to take back the New Millennium and that power lies in our Sacred Vote. Can we as progressives come together as one powerful force and do what needs to be done, what can be done, or do we remain fractured, hell-bent on shooting ourselves in the foot because of ideological differences? Can Democrats, Greens, Natural Law, and other liberal factions come together and vote one choice, the only choice we have?I am a Green. I have been for many years. Most of my friends are, as well. Convincing fellow Greens that we must turn toward the Democratic Party has been a scary and huge challenge for me and will only get more challenging. I know all the arguments. I hear them every day. I also know we have NO power as long as George W. Bush and the evil he represents remains in power. This administration blatantly ignores US.People say that George W. Bush is too stupid to know what he is doing. Yet, he made it to the most powerful position on the planet, the Presidency of the United States because he is smart and savvy enough to know how to play the game. And therein lies the salvation of this country and the planet: Playing the Game. Can we play the Game? Can we step up to the plate and play the Game better than George and all the corporate money he represents? The Game consists only of a two-party system. We intelligent, educated progressives know that when it comes down to the wire, the debates will inevitably be held between two candidates, even if there are three or six. We know that the media will only give time for two unless you are a billionaire like Ross Perot and can buy your way into those debates. We know the realities of the Game and that game will be played between a Democrat and a Republican. I have chosen to play the Game because of the Voices From The Grave-the voices of the thousands who were murdered by George, the voices of the ruined who lie in Iraqi hospitals changed forever because of OUR president, OUR soldiers, OUR bombs, OUR killing machine. These people look to us to save them from OUR leader and it is only WE the PEOPLE who can do it. It takes a great deal of time and energy to change the world. I know that people feel overwhelmed with their busy lives and don't want to be bothered with such a responsibility. I understand ...
