'I want to be as transparent as possible,' Eric says. 'I don't want to paint a picture of something or someone that I'm not or don't intend on being. My insecurities and shortcomings could be the key to someone else's freedom. Why try to pretend that they don't exist?'It is his desire to be honest that is the driving force behind Eric's album, Excavate, his national debut project. Produced by industry veteran Rob Hawkins (Rebecca St. James, Jeff Deyo), the album is Eric's first chance to really express himself.

'I had just started writing music and lyrics when I recorded my first album, Beautiful. So, in my opinion, that album did not offer a very big part of who I am. The difference between that project and Excavate to me is worlds different. I feel this album captures a better portion of my true life experiences, not to mention musically it is much edgier and built around stronger melodies. I wanted a rock recording that had depth; you know something that moves you emotionally when you hear it.

, better known as DRA$TIC is a native of notorious South Central California. Dra$tic is a new breaking, but seasoned artist who dove into the rap game at the early age of 13. Inspired by west coast legends such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Ice T, CJ Mac, and Tupac Shakur. But his main influence came from a source close to home. R&B sensation Tyrese, and his music teacher Mr. Andrews from Locke High in Watts, CA, who also led Tyrese to his big Coca-Cola commercial debut.

As Drastic developed his rap skills, he teamed up with producer LETHAL & THA OUTLAWZ on such projects as "THUG LIFE" & "ME AGAINST THE WORLD" by TUPAC. LETHAL continued to produce for DRA$TIC. Together they began to grind making noise within the West Coast Rap scene while developing and perfecting DRA$TIC's unique style and sound.

At the age of 18, DRA$TIC met his father John Harris, Sr. for the first time. It was then that he discovered that his father was also gifted musicaly and had history and roots in the music industry. John Harris, Sr. was once part of an R&B singing group. Dra$tic was also involved in the makings of such classic videos along with Tracy Robinson and Gobi of Look Hear Productions "CALIFORNIA LOVE", "GANGSTA PARTY", "HOW DO YOU WANT IT", "HIT 'EM UP", & "I AIN'T MAD AT CHA". John Harris, Sr. owned and ran his own label called Khalifa Records. John Harris Sr. was impressed by Drastic's work so he Executive Produced and put out Drastic's first album 'Drastic Measures' on his label which dropped 9-11 2001 when the planes crashed into the World Trade Center. In the process, Drastic studied and learned all he could about the music business and the art of recording a solid record.
