This is it! You found quality musical expression in a CD from Rick Easley, an independent artist that refused to quit inspite of intense problems with studios, budgets, musicians, and time itself. The debut CD "Overruled" is dedicated to YOU. If your tired of force fead schlock by the Giant record companys that own the radio stations, OVERRULED will be a refreshing break. Rick puts to music the everyday feelings and emotions in a variety of styles, so there would be something for everyone. He started his music career in 1984 in Santa Barbara California at the apex of the LA based Rock scene. Rock music was on fire and the world was in a symbiotic grove. Rick captures the excitement of the style of music of that era when meaningful lyrics acompanied virtuous musicianship in rockin'harmony. In 1996 Rick Set out to find a Cutting edge Rock Band in Austin Texas where "Overruled" was recorded. Rick pursued completing his dream, of releasing a CD with or without a band. He met many brilliant and talented musicians there, but no comitted serious professional band , though many attempts were made. During this time songs like "uninspired" and "Doctor of Psychiatry" were writen and recorded. Four years later, when the project was finally completed and all eleven songs were recorded Rick left Austin TX for Chicago where he wrote and recorded "Fame" the final track of the accomplished dream, then, back home to L.A. where it all began, to have everything mastered. "Overruled" was now completed, and Hollywood would soon be beating at his door. After rave reviews, Hollywood producers asked "Where's the band? " so Rick moved, once again, to San Diego in Southern California and is presently collaborating with other renassance rockers for a modern version of old-skool future showcase with some of these songs (finally).
