$21.00 Comprised of 18 tracks culled from the singer/composer's first three decades, The Very Best of Enya was pieced together by the artist herself, along with longtime collaborators Nicky and Roma Ryan. Luckily, the trio seems enamored by most of the same songs that the general public is, resulting in one of those rare "greatest-hits" ...

Diamond Cuts: Bottom Of The Fifth music CDs
$18.99 This is part of the charity CD and project "A Christmas To Cure Cancer" that was started in 2001 to help raise money for cancer research. As of the fall of 2006, we've raised over $261,000 for cancer research during the holidays the last four years by soliciting donations in exchange for our CD, as well as organizing benefit concerts. This release by Kelly Delaveris is a combination of traditional Jazz and Brazilian Jazz. This is not a Christmas CD release. This project has been about giving. My mom, Miriam Crum, was a giver. She gave me life. She gave me love. She gave my kids love. She was an incredible mother and grandmother. She fought cancer three times: breast cancer first, colon cancer 10 years later, and 5 years after that, lung cancer. She fought lung cancer until the end; she never gave up. I admire her for that. When Mark Puskarich approached me in May of this year about giving my time to record a song for his Christmas CD, “yes” was the only thing I could say. In July, when he gave me time at his recording studio to do whatever I wanted to do, the wheels started turning. Since Mark had offered to give me studio time, it only made sense to me to give proceeds from the sale of the CD to cancer research. I knew I had an engagement coming up with some of my favorite musicians: Jim Rupp on drums, Sean Ferguson on piano, and my son Nikolas on bass. I talked with them about giving their time to record, and they were all for it. I can’t tell you how rewarding it was to record with Nikolas, and to give him a chance to play ...

Diamond Cuts: Bottom Of The Fifth songs
$7.19 I was raised on pop music. I mean, let's just be honest - very few of us were given the Minutemen with our juiceboxes. But you start finding the other stuff over time - my family moved to Seattle and I integrated myself into a really cool local music community where no one genre necessarily dominated another. Or maybe the world gets bigger when you're a teenager. Some friends (who you may know from the late Racetrack and the still around Patience Please) and I formed a pop band with an unfortunate name when I was 14. When I wasn't allowed to change any settings on the amp I had to borrow for our first show, the pop band became a grungy, crunchy pop band. I fell in love with playing those kinds of songs. When the band ended (as they sometimes do), I began coming to terms with the concept of being a "solo artist." I went into the studio (Orbit Audio) a while later (there were, of course, assorted non-musical life happenings in the meantime - lackluster day-jobs, a premature trip through college, fucked up relationships and things like that) and recorded This is the Team with Joe Reineke (who's also worked on stuff for Pavement, Frank Black and School Yard Heroes) in charge of spaceship operations and Chris Thompson-Pratt (who did some severe rocking with Shook Ones) hitting drums like there was no tomorrow. I played everything else because I kind of had to. Not in a Billy Corgan way, but mostly in an, "I couldn't really find anyone else but I do know how my songs go," way. There are four songs on the EP. I think all of them are about being angry and disappointed but determined to hope. Some people think they're about loving people who don't love me back. Whatever works for you. The guitars are rather raunchy, which I like. (Which ...
