| raw and powerful
I have been a fan of Loudness since Devil Soldier. Outside of the unfortunate "America" years, the band has always displayed incredible groove-heavy music, regardless of who helmed the vocal chores. The reunion was a grand success and this rerecording of the classic songs from many years gone by is a very satisfying listen. Akira maintains his god-like status as one of the best (if not incredibly underrated) guitarists playing metal and Masayoshi rocks harder than ever on his bass, sometimes reminding me of John Entwhistle (don't hate me for such musings - just listen and watch the man's hands yourself and you'll likely agree). Rock Shocks shocked me with great delight. First listen was skeptical. later listens have proven my skepticism misplaced. this is rock, Loudness style. Turn it UP!

| Rough, Raw, Re-Worked Classics!!!
Kind of a "Best of Loudness" except that the band has gone back into the studio & re-recorded all the songs. Most of the songs sound a little bit more polished yet the production sound is a bit raw, giving a new sound to old songs. I found this a great "Remixed" CD of some of their best songs at a good price.

| AKIRA is god!
It's so cool to hear these classic tunes revved up for 2004. The band sounds great, I just don't like the muddy production. Yes, it's worth the money. It's a good way to sample the LOUDNESS '04 sound before buying any recent studio album. They are expensive!! Hey, the new re-masters are cool too!
