Original mini vinyl artwork. Includes a booklet with authoritative and extensive liner notes by respected author and archivist John Tracy. 1st Album Music Review Average Rating: (3.7 out of 5 stars) A guilty pleasure Reminds me of when I had the LP as a kid. Some good tracks but in hindsight a lot of bubblegum drivel too...... Submitted by richd1 (South River NJ USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Classic Rock This is taking me back when music was
music.I've got this on vinyl,on the
original Calendar record label.
I know this was only a studio
recording group...But,they really
bang out some serious music.
I've got all of the Archies albums,Except one:This is love.
Their final LP.
It's a shame that RCA-Victor couldn't
use the master tapes to re-issue
all their LP's on CD.
Still,to me all cartoon music groups
are the greatest, including The ARCHIES. Submitted by Louis (Norwich,CT,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Boyce & Hart I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight: The Best Of CD (2005) (Import) United Kingdom
1st Album music CDs
$19.69 Boyce & Hart claim a secret piece of rock history in that their band, the Candy Store Prophets, were the ghost band for the Monkees (before the Monkees began playing their own instruments). Boyce & Hart also wrote plenty of their own hooky pop, as I WONDER WHAT SHE'S DOING TONIGHT, a best-of set, reveals. 24 tracks of pleasurable 1960'-tinged pleasure-pop that should satisfy anyone interested in the genre.
Rev-Ola's Bobby Hart and Tommy Boyce retrospective shines a light on the men behind the Monkees with 24 tracks and 24 pages of exhaustive liner notes and photos. I Wonder What She's Doing Tonite: The Best of Boyce & Hart may not include any of the hits that they penned -- or played, ...
| | Electric Light Orchestra A New World Record - Expanded Edition CD (1976) Bonus Tracks; Remastered
1st Album songs
$7.59 Also available in a 3-pack with FACE THE MUSIC and DISCOVERY.
1976's A NEW WORLD RECORD is both a classic of commercial '70s pop and an archetypal ELO album. From the outer-space synths and rich orchestrations that open the album to Jeff Lynne's meticulous production and Beatlesque melodies, A NEW WORLD RECORD is magnificent ear candy. Both ambitious enough to appeal to "serious" rock fans and ultra-catchy enough to sound terrific on Top 40 radio (the plaintively gorgeous, McCartney-like "Telephone Line" and the anthemic "Livin' Thing" were well-deserved smashes), ELO was one of the few '70s bands whose appeal covered both the FM and AM spectrums. The album even resurrects "Do Ya," a classic single by Lynne's former band, the Move, in a splashy new version.
The next ELO album, 1977's elaborate double-album OUT OF THIS WORLD, was probably the band's commercial high point, but A NEW WORLD RECORD ...

1st Album CD music
$21.29 One of the Monkees' two best albums, HEADQUARTERS is also the one '60s album on which the band played nearly all the instruments, save for a string section and occasional bass from producer Chip Douglas. Since Michael Nesmith had instigated the revolt that led to the band's musical independence, he's in the forefront here, and his songs are uniformly ...
