Winner of the top songwriting award in the amateur country division of the Los Angeles-based American Song Festival in 1979 and the Las Vegas International Songwriting Competition in 1980, Bones Bach is a long-term ASCAP accredited songwriter with over 30 internationally published songs and 3 charted "hits" to his credit. "Sad Time Of The Night" has been recorded in three languages so far and the Dutch version received significant radio airplay in Holland. The Rod Powell cover of this song even topped the local charts for 3 consecutive weeks in Goose Bay Point, Labrador, back in 1981. (Of course the only people in Goose Bay Point, Labrador are 3 old Indian women in a canoe, but they all liked it a whole bunch. ) An accomplished acoustic guitar player who often performs solo with just his old Martin D-35 and a neck-strap Hohner harmonica, Bones would be the first to admit that his voice is far from flawless.
