| A perfect soundtrack This CD was the soundtrack to the summer of 1994. It doesn't have the very best raps of recent West Coast hits during that time, but it is a very solid collection of dope. By williest1 (austin, TX) This review is for a different format. |

Tupac All Eyez On Me CDs (1996) Top Seller
Murder Was the Case Soundtrack buy CD music This is an Enhanced audio CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files including the video for "California Love."
ALL EYEZ ON ME was nominated for a 1997 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. "California Love," featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman, and "How Do U Want It," featuring KC and JoJo, were both nominated for the 1997 Grammy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group.
This is an enhanced audio CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
The first double-CD of original material by a rap artist, ALL EYEZ ON ME marks 2Pac's return from incarceration to the recording grind. And though Tupac Shakur may have spent the better part of 1995 locked up and battling the system, the album makes it obvious that, rather than degenerating his artistic abilities, the struggles have only elevated his skills. Now, with the backing of West Coast hip-hop's first family, Death Row Records, 2Pac gathers together many of the rap ruling class to celebrate his comeback and give the finger to those who've scrutinized his music and aggravated his existence.
While California has always been his base of operations (he began his career as a member of Oakland's Digital Underground), 2Pac is one of the few '90s rappers to earn props on both coasts. ALL EYEZ ON ME reciprocates the respect by toasting the west ("California Love," a duet with Dr. Dre), the east ("Got My Mind Made Up" features NYC strong-men, Redman and Method Man), and the old-school funkateers (George Clinton shows up on "Can't C Me"). The consistently fierce production by a diverse army of beat-fiends keeps the album pumping, seemingly diverting the mainstream consumers' attention away from the rapper's volatile stance. But 2Pac does not shy away from speaking his mind; he's simply learning which confrontations are truly worth it ("Only God Can Judge Me"). Because peace is that much harder to find when so many eyez are on ya.

"Ride Wit Me" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Solo Rap Performance.
With this, his Universal Records major-label debut, St. Louis native Nelly was poised to place the Midwest on the hip-hop map in the same way that Master P did for New Orleans. The 20-year-old MC combines bouncy, funky tracks with a cool, unique vocal draw.
The title track was one of the year 2000's most infectious tracks, with its memorable chorus hook based on the children's song "Down, Down Baby." The rapper is joined by the Hot Boys' Lil Wayne on "For My" and the New York-based duo the Teamsters on "Never Let 'Em C U Sweat." His crew, the St. Lunatics, joins the fracas on "Steal the Show" and "Batter Up." No Limit Top Dogg CD (1999)
Murder Was the Case Soundtrack CD music While Snoop's No Limit debut left many long-time fans cold, his sophomore effort at Master P's label sees the LBC representative returning to form with a gang of reliable West Coast beatmakers (Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, Jelly Roll) in tow. Released some two years after the East/West beef hit its apex, TOPP DOGG represents Snoop's induction as a mainstream hip-hop icon, as the Dre-produced "B Please" garnered heavy rotation in all areas, conquering New York radio-waves for the first time. Elsewhere, Snoop parlays his trademark laidback rhyme style between aggressive, gangstafied grandstanding ("Buck `Em," "My Heat Goes Boom," "Buss'n Rocks") and smoothed-out hood love songs ("In Love With a Thug," "Don't Tell), even turning sensitive with a closing cut dedicated to his mother ("I Love My Momma"). All in all, TOPP DOGG proves that, under the right conditions, the G-Funk and No Limit eras are far from incompatible.

Game Is to Be Sold Not to Be Told CD (1998)
Murder Was the Case Soundtrack buy CD music When Snoop Dogg announced that he was leaving Death Row Records, many wondered why he would abandon one of the most successful hip-hop record labels in the business. Quickly announcing that his third album would be put out on none other than the Master P-owned label No Limit, it was obvious why he would make that decision. As a No Limit soldier, Snoop takes his West Coast flavor to the dirty South combining the two sounds for DA GAME IS TO BE SOLD, NOT TO BE TOLD.
Always an OG, Snoop Dogg collaborates with No Limit artists (C-Murder, Mystikal, Mia X and Silkk The Shocker, etc.) on many of the tracks. His flow and lyrical content aren't much different from his first two albums, and the production is still tight. Not quite the groundbreaker that DOGGYSTYLE was, but still a top quality rap album.

Murder Was the Case Soundtrack songs In 1993, Ice Cube released his third solo album, LETHAL INJECTION. By this time, the dominance of the West Coast rap scene had started to fade, as East Coast hip-hop artists like the Wu Tang Clan and the Notorious B.I.G. started to pull listeners away from the left coast. Hanging tough, Ice Cube released another masterful performance with LETHAL INJECTION. Tracks like "You Know How We Do It" and "Ghetto Bird" are deep-rooted in the classic West Coast sound and bounce. Filled with funk and smooth synth pads, LETHAL INJECTION is an album sometimes overlooked in the lengthy career of Ice Cube. Check out "Bop Gun (One Nation)," on which funk master George Clinton himself makes an appearance. Some of the album's other excellent tracks include "Make It Ruff, Make It Smooth" (featuring K-Dee), "Really Doe," and "Down for Whatever."
