In July 2003 Hank and Christy saw the White Stripes in OKC. Hank taught Christy to play the drums and within 4 weeks of the show they recorded their first album called “Red Blood Cells” as a tribute to the White Stripes. Hank was fourteen and Christy was eight. They won a local “Grammy Award” from the Tulsa World for “Rising Star” in 2004. They have played many shows since then including opening slots for the “Starlight Mints” and “Silvertide”.On December 18th 2005 they held their CD Release Party for “Put On Your Game Face” at the historic “Cains Ballroom” in Tulsa. The album is their debut of original recordings.On February 25th 2006 the “Red Alert” won the High School Battle of the Bands put on by the Tulsa World. One of their many prizes was recording and filming a video on the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. They joined the Vans Warped Tour in Dallas, TX on July 1st 2006 as one of their prizes.
