Wayne is a descendent of the Darumbal People of Central Queensland Australia, he came to America to create awareness, educate and preserve one of the world’s oldest living cultures, the Australian Aborigines. He has spent the last five years in the Western Desert of Australia cultivating the art of crafting and playing the didgeridoo. In addition to 5 years of training under the watchful eye of world renowned Tracker & Elder, Kevin Cameron from whom he has gained an extensive knowledge of his people and the Australian Aboriginal culture. Wayne is credited with fusing one of the worlds oldest living instruments with the modern rhythms of today’s music. His unique style of playing has created new genres of music featuring beats from grass roots to hip-hop.His sound is truly one of a kind. Wayne’s lung popping performances display infectious grooves that create a raw energy reflecting the Australian Aboriginal culture that he grew up in. One of his main goals is to bring awareness to the Aboriginal plight through the music of the didgeridoo. The release of his debut album titled Djun Djetti is not only an eclectic range of didgeridoo music but it makes it evident of his mastery of this ancient instrument and connection to his Aboriginal roots and mother earth.
