Enhanced Cd which contains Music Videos for "Told You So" & " STuck Up"Independently releasing the debut album The Draftdodgers present: Evil in 2005, the record went on to sell 3000 copies hand to hand, picked up a nomination for "Best Hip Hop/ Rap Music Album" at the 2005 West Coast Music Awards, was supported by 3 music videos (including a videofact sponsored treatment of the song "Told You So" which was seen nationally on Much Music and later picked up a 'Leo' award for "Best Music Video 2006" at the annual BC Film Industry award night) and received glowing reviews all over Canada. In the summer of 2006 with the release of “Call Me Evil” on Camobear Records Evil hit the road on a West Coast tour which saw him opening alongside label mate Josh Martinez as well as Jedi Mind Tricks, RA the Rugged Man, Devin The Dude, and De La Soul. A recent push to radio by Frontside Productions has seen the album chart in the top ten on Canadian college radio for 8 solid weeks with "Liquor Store" getting huge spins on DJ Law’s Hip-Hop radio show on 89.5 fm in Toronto. Evil's strength is his ability to combine a natural flow on the mic with a powerful and unique stage presence. His lyrics are at once personal and universal, he also possesses a flair for being a great entertainer without lacking in substance. Having grown up with a wide range of musical styles, Evil fell in love with Hip-Hop at an early age and applied his natural affinity for music and storytelling to his development as an MC. With a new album coming out, tentatively titled Howl, Evil is on the cusp of being a star on the Canadian scene and finally getting the widespread acclaim he's been slowly building toward. Call Me Evil album
$10.59 Black Eyed Peas, the hip-hop crossover juggernaut that propelled singer Fergie and producer Will.I.Am to superstardom, have, since 2003's ELEPHUNK, been audaciously plugging away at their bombastic but lighthearted style of rap-cum-dance pop--an effort that has translated to a run of successful chart-topping singles including "My Humps," "Pump It," and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." Eager to follow up on the platinum-selling ...
| | Leona Lewis Echo CD (2009)
Call Me Evil CD music
$11.18 The goal of Leona Lewis' 2007 debut, Spirit, was to prove that an X Factor winner could be a phenomenon not just in the U.K., but in the rest of the world. The goal of her second album, 2009's Echo, is to prove that success was no fluke, to build upon "Bleeding Love" and turn Lewis into an actual diva. Certainly, Echo in any of its incarnations -- its song listings are tailored for individual markets, with the U.K. getting a cover of Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out," while the U.S. gets a second song co-written by Justin Timberlake -- uses the chilly, synthesized "Bleeding Love" as its foundation, creating a sheet of sound equal parts Euro-pop and modern American R&B. As opposed to the often-stuffy Spirit, this is proudly modern, and if the sounds emanating from the two sides of the Atlantic might seem to be aesthetically opposed, they're both producer-driven music constructed layer by layer from rhythm to the vocal, where the overall sound matters more than what's being sung. Which isn't to say that Lewis doesn't sing ...

| | Rhythm & Booze: 25 Shots Of Vintage R&B CD (2005)
Call Me Evil songs
$13.95 This R&B collection focuses on songs about alcoholic beverages. The material is from the 1940s and 1950s.
There's no denying the massive appeal of songs about drinking -- Jimmy Buffett probably wouldn't have a career if not for the subject (which, come to think of it, is a persuasive argument for reinstating prohibition). But anyway -- Rhythm & Booze: 25 Shots of Vintage R&B compiles more than two dozen whiskey-soaked roadhouse classics from the 1950s, culled mostly from EMI-affiliated labels like Imperial and Aladdin. This is R&B at its most raw and raucous, evoking a near-mythical realm of backwoods barrooms populated by bad men and loose women. Not the most original idea for a compilation, but endlessly entertaining nonetheless -- no dive bar's jukebox should be without it. Highlights include J.B. Lenoir's "Give Me One More Shot," Floyd Dixon's "Wine Wine Wine," La Verne Ray's "Drunk, That's All," and Amos Milburn's "Let Me Go Home, Whiskey." ~ Jason Ankeny
