| | Buzz Ballads CD (5 Customer Reviews)
Fans of 1990s and early-2000s alternative rock will immediately recognize many of the songs on this 2006 collection. From Live's highly emotive "Lightning Crashes" to Bush's melancholy "Glycerine" to Hole's sullen "Doll Parts," BUZZ BALLADS offers up one gloriously angst-ridden, down-tempo song after another, making it the perfect compilation to accompany a bad mood. what? I like some of these songs, but they have really good songs in the commercial that aren't on the cd... and those were the songs I liked, ironically. Submitted by Shelby (Tecumseh, Michigan, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Sounds great!!! I don't even own it (but soon will) and every song is killer. I can't wait until I do get it. Submitted by mrjohn12 (Aberdeen, SD, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Loved the songs, but not the radio edits. The headline says it all. I ordered the CD because it had a good number of songs I loved a while back. I was pretty disappointed to find out a few of these songs were radio edits. Talk about a buzzkiller. Submitted by angel_zerosix-cdu (South El Monte, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Buzz Ballads
$12.65 Hailing from Aberdeen, MD, these four guys have been cranking out the summer jams, mixing modern rock with punk, ska, and island music since 1995. All this on pure grassroots word-of-mouth and a grueling tour schedule that's taken them from Maryland to California to Florida and even Canada!Ballyhoo!'s song "Longshot" was chosen for a compilation CD by 98 ROCK Baltimore called, "Noise in the Basement". There were about 20,000 copies pressed and distributed throughout the Baltimore/Washington area. The song also held strong in the top 5 Rock category at Garageband.com for over a year. The band is currently receiving airplay on several Mid-Atlantic commercial radio stations, ...
