This CD is no longer being manufactured, so it will quickly become a collector's item***REVIEWS OF THIS CD=================="There is no question that The Sunpilots also have growing public support. From the members on their myspace site to the listeners contacting radio stations around the country to request their songs there is a growing buzz surrounding the band." SOULSHINE"Radio stations across the nation have been buzzing with interest only generated in recent times by groups like JET and The Veronicas... and The Sunpilots have not had to head overseas to obtain it." POPREPUBLIC"The Sunpilots sent shivers down my spine." MUSIKMANTRABIOGRAPHY=========Born into the Australian rock scene but schooled in the Caranatic music of Sri Lanka, Raj Siva-Rajah was a child caught between two cultures. Using his love of music to bridge the divide, he began to develop a dark and obscure creative partnership with highschool friend Andrew Maitland. Thus began the "project"; and a love-hate musical relationship which continues to this day.The befriending of wayward musician Bob Spencer (guitar) saw the project evolve into something more; and The Sunpilots were born. The sound is a soaring fusion of the modern day west executed with the skill base of the ancient east. The band's online popularity has also begun to soar, building a massive MySpace following only months after unveiling their EP (which was initially recorded in the singers garage as a demo and not intended for release) on the site. As a result, they hit the no. 1 spot for independent Australian bands in daily song plays. The growing buzz surrounding The Sunpilots attracted the attention of radio across the country. Despite being little more than a mastered demo CD, Sydney tastemaker station FBi picked up the track "Animals in my Mind". The track generated such a response from FBi listeners that they were quickly made FBi feature artists. Next Triple J (Australia's biggest indie station) picked up the track "Metric System", exposing The Sunpilots to a national audience. The feedback was instant, with new fans posting comments on the band's MySpace page about the track and asking where they could buy the CD. Eventually Nova (one of the largest commercial networks in the country) spoke to lead singer Raj on air about the bands growing popularity, playing the "Spotlight in the Sun" demo after the interview. The next day The Sunpilots were on the air again talking to presenter Lizzy Lovette, who told the band about the huge number of calls Nova had taken requesting the song again.A couple of years on and The Sunpilots have toured nationally and internationally and have re-released studio versions of these tracks along with new material on their critically acclaimed debut album "Living Receiver". | | Judas Priest Concert Classics CD (2009) Reissue
Sunpilots CD music
$11.18 There was a time when British Steel was the hottest, hardest, and most awesome substance on the planet. On Judas Priest "Concert Classics", here it is, in its most appropriate circumstances: live, on stage. Judas Priest re-invented heavy metal. The first band to use the twin-guitar attack, they built on the foundation Black Sabbath had laid and moved metal to a new level. Looking back on the body of the work that the classic Priest line-up of Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, K.K. Downing, Ian Hill and Dave Holland has left us, nobody is ...
| | Rod Stewart Soulbook CD (2009)
Sunpilots music CDs
$13.79 Continuing his stroll through pop's backpages, Rod Stewart moves on from "The Great Rock Classics of Our Time" and dives into the SOULBOOK, shorthand for all the great Motown and soul songs that still are in heavy rotation on oldies radio well into the new millennium. Rod doesn't spend much time with the soul and blues singers so influential on him, choosing instead to run through a bunch of Motown hits - a full six of the 13 songs here are from the Motor City - adding a couple of smooth soul hits from the early '70s, plus ...

$15.65 Porcupine Tree, have found a way to incorporate both prog rock's '70s, with its 10-minute-plus suites and bombast, and its more refined, rock heavy '80s, into their 2009 effort, THE INCIDENT. Set up similarly to Rush's 1978 classic, HEMISPHERES, THE INCIDENT is comprised of a single long song -- the title ...
| | Timothy B Schmit Expando CD (2009)
Sunpilots album
$11.99 Timothy B Schmit launched his solo career late - in 1984, after the Eagles disbanded and right in the thick of the era of shiny, synthesized production. Schmit released three solo albums, all big and glossy, between 1984 and 1991, then reunited with the Eagles in '94, so he never quite had a chance to record an album as relaxed and natural as 2009's EXPANDO. Ditching all the sheen, but not professional panache, that lingered all the way to 2001's FEED THE FIRE, Schmit returns ...
| | Shakira She Wolf CD (2009)
Sunpilots CD music
$14.39 Shakira's brand new English album She Wolf is an uptempo pop album. It is all about synthesizers and electronic concepts, all mixed with the world sounds that we are used to from Shakira.. sounds from countries like India, the Middle East and her home country of Colombia. She Wolf features a predominantly English track list with a follow up album of new and unique repertoire in Spanish to come in 2010. The title track "She-Wolf " boasts the infectious and energizing sound that made Shakira a household name, with a slightly more dancey/ electronic beat (about 125 beats per minute). Though most tracks on the upcoming album will be in English, Shakira chose to service the Spanish version of the first single, "Loba", two weeks before the English single is launched.
Last time around, Shakira touched upon so many styles she couldn't be contained on one album, splitting Oral Fixation in two. This time, she focuses on one sound only: a pulsating electro-disco that crosses all boundaries and welcomes all nationalities. Such concentration behooves Shakira, freeing her to release her inner She Wolf, a wild wacko who's as coo coo as she is carnal. And for as sexy as Shakira is -- crucially, her music is sexy too -- what really gives She Wolf its bite ...
