This is cd is just as good and well done as "Blood and Ashes" i think that Outerspace are making there way up to the top more and more people are beging to listen to thier music and making it happen !!!! Twyford peace

this album is absolutely insane. Starts right off where Blood and Ashes left off. Crazy beats, fire lyrics. Planetary and Crypt are here to steal the hip hop game. I think this CD might be better than AOTP but that is a harsh statement. This CD is pure fire. Cop this now.

Baby Grande is undoubtedly the quickest moving indie hip-hop label of 2004, dropping records by everyone from Golden Era classics Brand Nubian to underground femme fatale Jean Grae and frontline political assassin Immortal Technique, all in less than 12 months. Along with less standout releases like Sharkey's Machine and -ready 7L & Esoteric and Outerspace mentors Jedi Mind Tricks, this release seems to have simply been swept up in the movement of the crowd rather than standing out on its own. That is not to say the MCs Planetary and Crypt the Warchild lack in skills. On the contrary, the childhood friends are near flawless in their Latino-tinged delivery. But they might be so tight in their flow that nothing really stands out between the two. Producers 7L, Shuko and Celph Titled (who also drops guest rhymes along with Nubian Sadat X and Jedi Vinnie Paz) craft beats heavy in ...

Since their debut, Jedi Mind Tricks have invited a legion of guest rappers to their full-lengths, and Army of the Pharaohs could well be the dénouement; under the billing "Army of the Pharaohs," nearly a dozen different rappers make a total of 50 appearances (all those on just 13 tracks). Also, the record apparently has a concept behind it (from the subtitle "The Torture Papers," at least), but neither Vinnie Paz nor Stupe nor any of the guests ever enlighten listeners about what the concept is, or what it means. (The best bet is yet more conspiracy theories, perhaps wrapped up with some Egyptology, and endless Middle Eastern war.) The only things left to glean from this record are the performances and the productions. As for the productions, it's mostly the usual horrorcore rap, already heard on all of JMT's many full-lengths (itself cribbed from old Gravediggaz or Wu-Tang records). The performances aren't much better, although four of the guests -- the great Esoteric, Apathy, and Celph Titled, plus producer 7L -- do make things interesting on their best appearances: "The Torture Papers," "Listen Up," and "King Among Kings." ~ John Bush
