Nightstarter album
$19.10 NEVER A DULL MOMENT picks up where EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY left off. Here we have more raucous rock & roll with healthy dollops of soul and twang thrown in for good measure. Always looking for a good songwriter to cover, Stewart's honorees here include Jimi Hendrix ("Angel"), Dylan ("Mama You Been On My Mind"), and Rod's personal hero, Sam Cooke ("Twistin' The Night ...

Nightstarter music CDs
$13.84 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of the U.S. and Europe. He compiled and sequenced the set himself, intending to make them sound like a single show. The material leans, understandably, on his recordings with the Anti label. There are stellar performances ...

| | Paul McBurney - PMB Continuous Wave Bonus Tracks CD (2004)
Nightstarter songs
$6.69 PMB is a super band of San Francisco Musicians. The band is led by singer/songwritter Paul McBurney. Paul grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa on the banks of the Missisppi River next to Davenport Iowa, a city influenced by the swirling Dixieland music of the Mississippi riverboats, the nostalgia of the city's favorite son cornet player Bix Beiderbecke, and also the vintage rock common in the midwest during the '80's. Paul played in numerous bands and solo projects, but PMB is his first foray into fronting and being the main writter for a talented array of mainly jazz players. He was blown away by the versitality and virtuosity of drummer Darrell Green, whom he saw play at Brunos in San Francisco and then eventually met and discussed his band vision at another one of Darrell's gigs at the Black Cat in San Francisco's North Beach. After their meeting, Paul focussed on writing new material with the purpose of building a band around Darrell's rhythmic capabilities. Paul's first solo release "The Lazy Daisy Chain" can also order from this site.Darrell Green (http://www.davellis.com/darrellgreen.html) grew up in Oakland California and is known to anyone who follows the Jazz scene in the SF Bay area as one of the most talented drummers on the scene. To round out the rhythm section, Darrell suggested his long time friend and fellow performer bassist David Ewell. David is a also master of many styles, moving freely from Jazz to Brazilian, to free form improvisation and to rock. David brings incredible energy and stage presense to the PMB live performances, or any "live" he is a part of. He is a member of many local bands and tours internationally frequently. This trio rehearsed and worked up a first set of original material together for six months before bringing on keyboardist Jacob Aginsky. (http://www.aginsky.com/music/). Jacob, another Bay Area native, is a staple on the music scene in the Bay area and all over the world promoting his numerous recordings and also supporting other renound touring acts. Jacob's rich harmonic accompaniement, stabs, and solos fills out the PMB sound. Finally, the icing on the cake is soloist Howard Wiley on tenor and soprano saxophone. ...
