Christ Illusion album for sale Product Description
Christ Illusion album for sale by Slayer was released Aug 08, 2006 on the American Recordings label. The breathtaking double-time drums, grinding guitar riff, and throat-shredding vocals on the opener, "Flesh Storm," signal the relentless sonic onslaught in store for the listener. Christ Illusion CD music Lyrically, too, Slayer is in fine form, exploring in typically dark fashion the pitfalls of religion, orthodoxy, and--with timely references to unrest in the Middle East--the ideology of war. But it's the band's musical chops that impress the most, with radical song structures, angular tempo changes, and blistering guitar solos that prove the legendary band is still a step ahead of their numerous followers. Christ Illusion CD music contains a single disc with 10 songs. ...See Full Description

| Not all that.... I've just experienced(yet again)the hell of anticipation;when you wait five years for new music from a band as powerful, as accomplished as Slayer, you expect an album for the ages, one that will utterly blow your mind away. And space of time is not the only appetite whetter;the reunion of a former band member as influential as Dave Lombardo is sure to have fans everywhere spraying their collective undies. So there it is, five years since the nu-metallish God Hates us all(to me that's a load of crap, the label, not the album)with Dave back in the fold, we have Christ Illusion.I could appreciate the guys going back to their late 80's early 90's modus operandi (sketchy crude sleeve artwork, thirty minute album, short speed fixes that are as cauterizing as the lyrical content)but somehow it's got me saying 'I've heard it all before';the only change is a burgeoning maturity and just a little more complexity in song structure. All in all, not much to write home about; but then again, what do I know, I'm just a really jaded metalhead. In the meantime I'll be digging some High on Fire and Gojira, and praying that Metallica will come out with something awesome. Some will laugh at such a premise, but you never know. Slayer sure had their chance, unfortunately they fell short for me somehow. By mikestan (Gros Islet, St.Lucia) |
| Not The Kings Of Thrash!! Sorry to say but some tracks are wacked. Yeah their Old School Stuff Sounds better but I'm not feeling the Christ Illusion Album! Ex-Drummer Paul Bostaph Brought out the best in Slayer but this album sounds weak and repetitious! More like a STAGNATION POINT!! Like what the comment below me told me to do is to Buy the last three EXODUS (The Real Kings of THRASH) Albums... I did and the EXODUS Albums make this Christ Illusion Album sound like Josh Groban on CRACK!! By Metal Head (New York, New York, USA) |
| THRASH?? There Are Few Good Songs in this album! That's why I gave it Three Stars. If You really want to hear real Thrash Metal listen to EXODUS and their lasts three albums especially 'The Atrocity Exhibition'!! Then You'll Think Twice about this Album!! | Every song sounds the same terrible, every song sounds alike. so not buy this. get there old stuff like Show No Mercy. By joshmel333_823 (shenandoah) |
| HO HUM So let Me get this straight and I could be wrong here--Fast equals good? Yeah these songs are fast, but it sounds like everything they have ever done. More of the same doesn't sound like progress and unless you are progressing, you are stagnating. By Terry (Los Angeles, CA, USA) |
