Why Cream can't live on Very insightful interviews by my favorite music journalist, Chris Welch. Ginger's complaints are very direct and clear, even more than ususal. I just loved the piece of film of NSU never seen that before. Apart from that there are only a few snippets of footage never seen before of Cream in a dressing room. GREAT PERFORMANCES TWO REASONS FOR MANDATORY OWNERSHIP:
(1) THE REVOLUTION CLUB CUTS FROM 10/67 ON THE DVD.
(2) THE 3-7-67 STOCKHOLM RECORDINGS ON THE AUDIO CD. THE BAND HAD FINALLY FOUND ITS GROOVE , AND WAS EXPLORING A NEW AND EXCITING TYPE OF IMPROVISATION.
THE INTERVIEWS ARE BASICALLY GREAT AND OFTEN HUMOROUS.AN EXCELLENT PACKAGE.BUY IT. Submitted by NSU (SITTIN ON TOP OF THE WORLD) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Mostly Interviews But Still A Worthy Addition To Your Roch D This dvd (with bonus audio cd) consists of mostly interview with Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton as well as with others associated with Cream. The dvd is very informative but there is very little actual concert footage, so if that's what you're expecting you may be dissapointed. The audio cd is just under thirty minutes and contains five unreleased "live" tracks (all in mono). Submitted by B.C. ("Hallandale Beach,Fl.,USA") Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Cream: Royal Albert Hall DVDs (2005)
Cream - Classic Artists review
$18.19 Cream's set of reunion shows in May 2005 was a justly hot ticket. The legendary rock trio of Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce, and Eric Clapton--two jazz musicians and a blues guitarist--was one of the most influential bands of the 1960s, even though they played together for less than three years. They brought their psychedelic fusion of blues and pop into the mainstream with albums like FRESH CREAM and WHEELS OF FIRE; Clapton, long regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, did some of his best work on those albums. London's Royal Albert Hall, the site of what was supposed to be Cream's final performance back in 1968, was also the venue for their reunion show. Sounding as if they'd been on vacation for a few weeks instead of disbanded for well over three decades, Cream brought the house down with a series of ...

The group consisted of Eric Clapton on guitar, vocalist and keyboardist Steve Winwood, bassist Rick Grech, and Ginger Baker on drums. The 40-minute set included "Well All Right," "Under my Thumb," ...
| | Jefferson Airplane Sweeping Up The Spotlight: Live At The Fillmore East 1969 CD (2007)
Cream - Classic Artists video
$7.59 Jefferson Airplane were less focused in 1969 than they had been in the Summer of Love two years before. Recorded at the Fillmore East, these performances find the Airplane coming off their most recent album, Volunteers, released a month earlier, with the band a lot looser (drug use aside) and fractured. The factions in the group were presenting themselves during performances, and this set is no exception. Guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Cassidy connected and jammed like they would have been just as content without the vocals getting in the way, Grace Slick and Paul Kantner combined their voices and ...
