(Simon Selmon, Lodon Swing Dance Society)The Musicians:Lizzie Scott - vocals; since her debut at the Sydney Harbour festival has been wowing 'em everywhere! Now living in the UK, Lizzie is a favourite with swing and jazz audiences in London.
Simon Finch - trumpet; flamboyant, hot-lips blues & swing master, Simon has worked with Tom Jones, Jools Holland and even the Pop Idols big band!Malcolm Earl Smith - trombone; top-notch artiste of the slide plumbing, and no mean crooner! The Earl of 'Bone has recently played and sung all over the world in Bryan Ferry's swing band and has recorded with James Langton's Solid senders and Digby Fairweather.
Luke Annesley - clarinet and saxes; a fine exponent of the Johnny Hodges style. You'll have seen Luke several times a week in the house band of the Johnny Vaughan TV show, and he is a regular with the John Wilson Orchestra and the Padadena Roof Orchestra. Alex Garnett - tenor and baritone saxes; has a big, loud sax sound and an even bigger, louder suit. Alex is Ray Gelato's right-hand man in the Giants, who opened Robbie Williams' Royal Albert Hall spectacular.
James Pearson - piano; a great talent, who has worked with everyone from opera diva Maria Ewing to Burt Bacharach, Ian Shaw and Cedar Walton. His solos and accompaniments are always exciting and fun. Sports a fine head of floppy hair and smokes a pipe. Colin Oxley - guitar; plays all the right chords, and nails the rhythm department for singers Stacey Kent and Eriko Ishihara. Plays a great blues solo whilst keeping his head perfectly still.
Simon Thorpe- double bass and leader; thumps out a mean bass line but can't keep his head still. Jivin' Miss Daisy's Musical Director and style guru, Simon features on several CDs with Stacey Kent, Alan Barnes and was a house-band regular on TV's Big Breakfast.
Matt Skelton, drums; has rattled the kitchenware for Ray Gelato, the Syd Lawrence Orchestra and Harry 'Sweets' Edison. Loves to drive the band in perfect swingtime.
