AVOIDANCE OFDOUBTFirstly thanks for taking an interest in Avoidance of Doubt. We are creating quite a buzz in the Industry at the moment and hopefully this will give you further information on the band and our career so far.To give you some background information, AOD released their first album ‘Science of the Mind’ via a small independent label; Tomcat Records in 2004. Now, we have a new set, new material and a new EP released April 22nd 2006. The band are receiving an immense amount of interest from within the industry and from a large number of labels and promoters etc. That's before you even take a look at AOD's awesome stage show.NEW CD/EPAOD have just completed recording a new EP; 'Through My Eyes' featuring 4 new tracks and several remixes. The EP, recorded at Britannia Row Studios in London and mixed at Jacobs has been produced by Steve Lyon (The Cure, Paradise Lost, Depeche Mode, The Creatures and Nitzer Ebb).'Through my Eyes' also features Emilie Autumn who has played with Billy Corgan and Courtney Love, Emilie is also causing quite a stir in the USA with her own solo work.ON TOURThe band has just completed its second headline tour of 30 dates across the UK following on from our first highly successful tour early in 2005. On the most recent ‘Salvation Tour’ AOD also had support dates with UltraViolence and VNV Nation (at the bands’ request). We hope to tour again later in 2006 along with some possible German dates and we are also in discussion re: a tour of Portugal, Spain and other European territories. Emilie Autumn, has also invited us to tour in the USA with her. We are also as we speak putting together a USA tour scheduled for August/September.AOD BELIEVERSWe have a fast growing fan base with hits to our website growing every month. (1500 in July and exceeded 3000 in Feb 2006).Our Myspace account has really taken off with 1400 friends in February, but has now grown to 11500 at the beginning of April and 300 or more new friends finding us everyday.'Burn' in its demo form received over 1000 plays in 1 week alone, 'Jesus Wept' again in demo form getting over 1400 downloads from download.com. With each track from the new EP exceeding 4000 downloads each in their first 4 weeks of being up on the net.THE LOOK, THE SOUNDWe initially appear as a fairly OTT and outrageous visual band along with the fact that we are both musically heavy and yet have a bizarrely "dance-ish" backbone to our music. However from being out on the road we find that our fans come from all ages and backgrounds and we have an exceptionally wide musical appeal. A good example of this would be our headline date at The Roadmender ‘Friday Fri Up’ playing to a sell out crowd of under 16's of nearly 700.Avoidance of Doubt have been compared to Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, NiN, Rob Zombie, Static X and Korn. Often labeled as Gothic Metal, Industrial Cyber, Dance Metal or Disco Metal. However AOD are all and none of these things, whilst they are alternative, they are a theatrical experience drawing not just from the aforementioned bands but also from Pink Floyd, David Bowie and from the more visual aspects of music and performance.Mixing it all up with an exceptionally tight stage show and a vibrant passion fueled visual performance.GLOBAL DOMINATIONAOD still remain highly commercial with haunting and powerful melodies. AOD seek forward thinking labels and promoters to further their career with a goal of global domination. We have seen press coverage in the major metal magazines reviewing our first album: Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Kerrang and RockSound.SUPPORTERS TO THE CAUSEAOD are sponsored by Allycat Metalware (who make all our accessories), Devolution Magazine and also RFA Slaghuis Media who provide all our online streaming. Our make up brushes are provided by Christine Alsopp a Bafta nominated make up artist who will be doing AOD's make up on our new video filming in the summer. We are also looking for equipment endorsements and make up and Through My Eyes Music | Category | Heavy Metal Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7234794 | | Catalog number | 70445 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | May 23, 2006 |

Through My Eyes
$12.15 There’s only so much of this story that needs to be told. The rest will lurk in shadows, where it belongs. The facts of the case are what follows. When pretty Scarefina, the peculiar girl with the alabaster skin and babydoll dresses, met devilish rock hero Luci and his big sleazy guitars, something quite wonderful happened. It was 2002, or perhaps a bit earlier. Scarefina was living in a haunted church in New Jersey at the time, flirting with madness and dancing with the dead. Luci had just left the harrowing, be-horned world of Norwegian black metal, where he played in the legendary band Ancient. Black metal is exciting stuff, filled with wild beasts and monstrous visions, but it leaves no room for rock n’ roll, and our man Luci is nothing, if not rock n’ roll. So Luci and Scarefina met. Where is not important. What is important is that they went to a very wicked carnival together, where they found two sinister characters named Marcello and Mizari. One played the drums, the other bass, and although they were planning to stow away on a luxury liner to Romania, they chose instead to join Luci and Scarefina on their journey into the heart of darkness. And that’s how it happened. They named themselves ...

Through My Eyes
$10.19 COLOSSICK is a four piece metal band from Atlanta Georgia determined to deliver the biggest and boldest sound to the masses as possible. This determination has stemmed from a history of pushing heavy music to the next level and striving for recognition, but never compromising integrity or overall attitude. COLOSSICK, a name derived from the Greek god of war “Colossus” mixed with the slang term “sick”, can be described as one huge wall of sound. Metal influences from the early ‘80’s to the present day have shaped the band into what has been revered as one of the loudest most energetic live bands on the local music circuit. Atlanta Rock Shows.com states that COLOSSICK is “heavy, aggressive, and uncompromising.” Volume Magazine reported that “concrete riffs, gripping harmonics, bleeding feedback, and power grooves put COLOSSICK in the category of loud rock/metal band”, although, “if you like an exciting live show, you will enjoy a COLOSSICK performance regardless of your musical taste.” The band’s current lineup, containing Tom Blair, lead vocals and guitar, Justin Whitley, bass and backing vocals (both former Miller’s Tale members), and Jeremy Kidd, drums and percussion, was completed in late 2004 when rhythm guitarist and devil throat Maq Brown (former guitarist for Revolver) was added to the fold.In 2004 the band was invited to attend The Atlanta Film Festival where a debut of the independent film, “The Delivery Boy Chronicles”, featured the band’s song “Everything and More” in the movie. Also that year the band had the chance to open for several national acts including Stuck Mojo, Six Feet Under, Byzantine, and Ill Nino. COLOSSICK has participated in several competitions and conferences such as the Atlantis Music Conference in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and the Emergenza International Band Competition in 2005, where COLOSSICK made it to the semi-finals and was given the chance to perform at one of Atlanta’s biggest venues, EarthLink Live. COLOSSICK also made it to the Semi-final round at the Sweetwater Showdown ...
