Fuego is Evan Christian's debut cd.Recording Artist / Producer originally from Chicago Ill. As a flamenco guitarist, Evan released his first independent album entitled "FUEGO" in the fall of 2004. The album FUEGO spans the genre of "nuevo flamenco" and pushes the boundaries of acoustic guitar playing. Evan has opened for Ronny Jordan, Rob Wasserman, Bob Weir,and many other National / International touring acts. Evan recently completed a European tour which took him to Dublin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Seville, Valdepenas, Valencia, Granada, and Cadiz , where he performed / collaborated with some of Spains top flamenco players. Upon returning to the United States in July '06 , Evan then went on a tour of the Middle East / Southwest Asia (Kyrgyztan,Afghanistan,Djibouti,Kuwait,United Arab Emirates, Qatar ) Evan's versatility as a guitarist is shown on upcoming album entitled " THE MOSAIC" which is a collection of original compositions, most of which are with his band...a stark difference from his previous album. These new songs have a sound that has been compared to a mixture of Carlos Santana / Jimi Hendrix. THE MOSAIC also features several songs with vocals and studio production all performed by Evan. Although Evan is an extremely talented music producer / songwriter, his strength is in live performance. Evan's incredible talent is being recognized throughout the music industry! A native of Quincy, Florida, Richard became serious about his musical abilities at the age of sixteen. He found tremendous pleasure in playing various musical instruments in school bands such as, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, brass, and percussion instruments. However, playing his instrument in church was a vital part of increasing his skill as a musical artist. He remembers at the age of twelve, the church's musician recognized a group of young aspiring musicians, and put their musical aptitude together for a performance of a rendition of "Oh When the Saints Go Marching In" that rocked the house. It was at this point; the church provided Richard with the stepping stones needed to enhance his musical abilities. Soon the piano & Hammond B-3 organ became hisinstruments of choice. While in the United States Navy, at age twenty-four, Richard put together a band that performed one of his many original compositions. To his surprise the group won second place in the talent contest on board the USS Lexington AVT-16. Richard has been a member of a local jazz band called, " Pizzazz.".
