| | Kristin Chenoweth As I Am CD (2005)
Motivated CD music
$9.99 Kristin Chenoweth's 2001 album was a collection of standards that showcased her winning soprano and remarkable ability to shift from Broadway brassy to "My Funny Valentine"-sultry at the turn of a note. Let Yourself Go was a great follow-up to her 1999 Tony win for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. But since then Chenoweth has branched out from Broadway, particularly into acting (She joined the cast of West Wing in 2004), and As I Am reflects her higher profile. It's a personal album that mixes country and adult contemporary instrumentation in a set featuring hymnal book standards and contemporary Christian favorites. Chenoweth herself is pictured in relaxed cotton separates -- every bit the attractive, approachable celebrity -- and there isn't a Broadway tune in the bunch. As I Am begins with "It Will Be Me." A pedal steel helps the 1999 Faith Hill tune retain its country-pop ...
| | Frankie Capp In A Hefti Bag CD (1995)
Motivated music CDs
$9.79 The Frank Capp Juggernaut's interpretations of 16 Neal Hefti compositions (which were originally written and arranged for the 1950s-era Count Basie Orchestra) bring new life to the highly appealing music without directly copying the earlier recordings. Capp and his 16-piece orchestra are in typically swinging form on obvious classics such as "Cute," "Whirlybird," and "Li'l Darlin'"; several songs whose ensembles are more familiar than their titles (such as "Flight of the Foo Birds," "Scoot," and "Bag-A-Bones"); and some high-quality obscurities. Many soloists are featured, including the late altoist Marshall Royal (who takes his last recorded solo on "It's Awf'lly Nice to Be with You"); tenors Rickey Woodard and Pete Christlieb; altoist Lanny Morgan; trumpeters Conte Candoli, Bob Summers, and Snooky Young; and trombonists Thurman Green, Alan Kaplan, and Andy Martin. Special mention should be made of ...

Motivated album
$16.39 Shane's anointing and love of music was evident at a very early age. He accepted Jesus into his heart as his personal savior when he was only 7 years old and from that time on Shane felt the hand of God on his life. When he was 8 he started singing in his home church and immediately fell in love with the songs and music of Dottie Rambo. He continued to sing anywhere God opened the door for him, churches, nursing homes, fundraisers, community events and festivals. Shane recorded his first two projects with Southstar Creative Group in Nashville, TN. The title cut from the first recording, 'Hand Me Down Memories', was released by Southstar to 700 radio stations on a CD with Grand Ole Opry star Jimmy C. Newman, and also on a compilation CD with Hope Street Music Group to 1500 radio stations world wide. That song went to number 24 on the Country Gospel Music Charts. The song 'Teardrops', from his second project, is a medium tempo country gospel song with a strong bluegrass influence. This song was released with Hope Street to radio stations and this song made it to number 27 on the Country Gospel Charts and was in the top 50 of several Music Charts in Europe. It is still showing up on play lists from radio stations around the world. Shane gives all the glory to God and is just happy that his music is being heard and played in areas he is not able to go. He prays that lives and souls are being touched and turned to God. Some other accomplishments are having appeared twice on PAX TV, he sang in a Christmas Special on a T.B.N. Affiliate station, has performed onstage in Nashville, TN as well as showcased in Branson, MO. He has appeared onstage with the Southern Gospel Music Fanfair, in Chattanooga, TN showcased at Agape Fest in Texas and performed with many award winnings artist across the ...
