Jacob Grenz At the age of twelve, Jacob began his study of the violin. His restless soul originally found comfort in the richness of classic composers such as Vivaldi and Bach. He started composing orchestral arrangements at age fifteen. Soon Jacob began to take an interest in the piano and without any lessons started writing his first original songs. My Faithful Lord is an album to inspire listeners to realize once again the value of prayer and worship. It includes several classic songs and hymns and spiritual songs of prayer including 'The Lord's Prayer', J.S. Bach's 'Jesus, Joy of Man's Desiring' and 'Create in Me a Clean Heart'. Since Valerie has served nearly twenty-five years as a foreign missionary, she has included a section on missions including 'A Tender Heart', and 'Lord, Send Me Anywhere.' Hymns include 'How Great Thou Art,' 'Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne' and 'Great is Thy Faithfulness. 'Valerie Knies again affords her mezzo-soprano voice to singing music of inspiration. She is joined by several instrumental accompanists. Most are faculty at the Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin. Pam Loggans is a piano pedagogy teacher with over thirty years experience. She plays all of the piano and keyboard arrangements. Tim Hammond, church music director and cello instructor with a Master's Degree in cello performance, beautifully performs the cello accompaniments. The former Milwaukee Symphony violinists and present Chair of the Strings Department, Betsy Pabon lends her lovely harmonization and obbligatos. Victoria Mulder, who has directed and taught elementary and Jr. High musicians for twenty-five years, adds her rich clarinet to the production. Since her last hymn albums, "My Master and My Friend" and "My Blessed Redeemer", Valerie has studied in Hungary with Marta Bukszar, long time member of the Pecs Opera Company, university voice professor and coach of the opera chorus.
