Red Snow has evolved into one of L.A.s unique hard rock bands and continues to create music on many different levels. Lina Mantashian fuels Red Snow on vocals. She resides in Denmark and and is well known throughout Europe for her performances in "Star for a night"and was in the band Circus Mind. She is passionate about her Music and has amazing energy and spirit along with a fiery stage presence that fronts Red Snow . Vahe Marzbetuny is often praised as a lyrical, soulful guitarist and is the heart and soul of the band. He has recorded with Serj Tankian and Arto Tuncboyadjian on the CD entitled "Serart" on a song called "Devils Wedding". Vahe along with his brother Zareh, both were members of a successful rock band in the 90's called "Mach 1." Their debut Mach 1 CD is still selling worldwide. Zareh Marzbetuny is a skilled bass player with a unique ability to play a wide range of styles. His crisp, round earth-shaking sound fills a room. His firm rhythm makes him one of the most in-demand bassists around. He's a funny guy with funny things to say and plays some burnin bass riffs. Shant "Ruckus" Sarkissian on drums adds an incredible rhythmic backbone. He has a knack for placing the right sound in the right places. His use of space and his energy is amazing. Another fine example of a drummer whos playing is complete self-expression. Jack "Mr.White" Kurdian shows his ability to mix his assorted keyboards and synths (strings, textures, piano) in songs that are accessible yet (at times) free-flowing enough to be quasi-ambient. A native of Las Vegas, NV and a graduate of Grambling State University, he is a multi-faceted performer. At Grambling, he studied French Horn under Conrad Hutchinson and trumpet under Dr. Joseph Miller. He also performed with Frank Foster, who was then directing the Count Basie Orchestra. The difference is that Pastor Brad is a bit more melodic and probably a bit bluesier than those guys as well. Think more along the lines of Steve Morris, or even Van Halen without vocals. Each song on this CD tells a story. Whereas some instrumental CDs tend to be a bunch of riffs for the guitarist to lay down some choice wankey, Pastor Brad has actually written songs for which the guitar leads to tell a story over. Yes, the songs actually have hooks. Brad brought along some friends to help him out as well. Fellow shredders Jon Hooper (Unforsaken), Andy England and David Jacob all lay down some choice chops as well. While the entire CD is a solid listen, a couple songs that really stood out to me was "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" ...
